No, it wouldn't be... the timeframe (1820s-1830s) is well before the Rifle was common, and would be more closer akin to Napoleonic weapons and tactics then Rifle-using Cavalry of the late 1800s.Wouldn't that be more of a Mexican Cavalry than a Mexican Cuirassier?
That's not a bad cut-off date... so what part of "Mexican Army 1821-48" did you miss?I always thought of the cuirassier as representing sort of a knight with a firearm, kind of like a Dragoon or what a lot of people would associate with a Conquistador. Between like late 1500s to around 1850 and then after that you would have the Cavalry unit in civ terms.
