Unit requests thread

Thanks for the guidance in finding some of my unit requests, I found the CharB1 Tank and Pershing Tank (at least I believe I have because I've been unable to open the Road to War mod due to version differences, but I can see the tanks in the units folder). I don't see a Matilda 2 Infantry Tank but perhaps it is under a different name and I'm also still looking for the Mark IV tank from WW1 but if anyone knows where I should look I would be in your debt :)

The main thing I was hoping for advice on was finding modern armored units to add to my own game. I just went through my first playthrough with the added units and most looked great in the game until I reached the modern era. The tanks I had added: Ariete MBT, Leclerc MBT, Patton tank, and Leopard 2 looked nice but they were way too big. Does anyone have any suggestions for smaller tank models that I could incorporate into my game? I would love to have any of the above tanks but not when they are 2 times bigger than the modern armor unit.

To change the size of units in game change the FScale in that units artdefines. If they are indeed appearing twice the dimensions that you want them to be, try halving the fscale. But alot of times the unit author will list a suggested fscale.

In the past months I worked on a galleys pool, but I've planned to finish and release them in the next autumn.
If you are interested to these galley models, feel free to ask me to speed up my work.
;)

Wow! Very-very nice:goodjob:, please speed up, and while you're at it, find time to release what you've finished! ;)

Would anyone be willing to make a Chuggi style MesoAmerican frigate? It's the only one missing from the set he made some time back.

Yes, it would be very much needed!

I'm not sure where to locate this, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a tank unit that has that shovel/scoop/whatever on the front of it that a bulldozer would have. I think if you are creative enough you could probably use some other model or reskin it to look like a bulldozer. The crane I think you can rip off of the modern quarry improvement model.

Thank you for you idea, I think I can do somethink with the crane, pehaps I will use the pioneertank too.

So what there is only one request left: The "Volkswagen" Beetle in a military and in a civil style.

Does anyone have an axeman with no shield and a giant axe model I could use for the star wars mod? If not could someone make one for me please.

The axeman doesn't have a shield last time I checked.

Here's what I would think is an easy request. I have these two units I am going to use for my English civ in my new mod. One is called "Maceman Officer" and will appear as the center unit in the Maceman mesh group (see image), and the other is a knight that Bernie made. The Maceman Officer is a reskin of Bakuel's Italian Heavy Footman (and I removed the mustache). It is slightly annoying to me that the torso of the unit is shiny, I think this doesn't make sense because that should be cloth and thus not glisten in the sun like the rest of the armor. I tried removing the gloss from the Maceman Officer in NifSkope but as you can see that did not work. I wonder if anyone could take a look at these and help me out. Thanks in advance.

What i meant was for one with A giant axe, and if you can could you give it a hood.

Removing the gloss map just makes everything shiny, as the gloss map tells the environment light or shader what should and shouldnt shine. Without it everything the light is directed at shines. All you need to do is open up the gloss map and make the parts you do not want to be glossy completely black.

Oh, cool, thanks a lot. I didn't even think of that as a possibility.

Hello,

Does anyone have a model and skin for the "infamous" AC-47 Spooky Ground assault aircraft, deployed in the vietnam war as a ground suppression fire and anti-vehicle aircraft.

It was known as "Puff the magic dragon" presumably because it was big and slow and the tank cannons sticking out of it's side made puffs of smoke.

The look:

I'd like to use it as a predecessor for the AC-130 still being used to great effect. There is room in the game for a very specific anti-groundforce aircraft that's slow and easy to intercept but devastating versus it's chosen target - technologically inferior ground forces like light tanks and horse.

Thanks in advance!

Edit:
Wiki Article

Extra bonus points for an air attack animation that does the job of portraying an aircraft that fires cannon shells and machine gun fire from it's SIDE, not it's WINGS or nose :)

how about mines? a land mine or sea mine
