Unit requests thread

I think I have a unusual request: Could anyone make a crane, or a buldoozer, or some other kind of constructing machinery?

And second, could anyone make a "Volkswagen Beetle" (with one military and one civil skin)? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where to locate this, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a tank unit that has that shovel/scoop/whatever on the front of it that a bulldozer would have. I think if you are creative enough you could probably use some other model or reskin it to look like a bulldozer. The crane I think you can rip off of the modern quarry improvement model.

I think it was in the Warhammer40000 mod or something like that.
 
I'm asking too much. I've already sorted through the unit graphics database, and found some good graphics, but my mod needs more and I don't have 3Dmax. I'll start with requesting ten, and someone please tell me if they already exist in mods, and where to find them. I'll divide my requests into three sections according to simplicity. (base unit recommendations are in parenthesis)

Simple (just simple modeling changes and skinning)

Armored Elephant (War Elephant)
Ansar Warrior (Keshik)
Nubian Mercenary (Spearman)
Greek Trireme (Trireme)
Carthaginian War Elephant (War Elephant)
Etheopian Archer (Archer)

Medium (More complex than Easy)

Galley (Galley or Trireme)

Why do I need a new Galley? With the Viking Longboat in the picture, the Galley looks so much like a longboat that I need to use the Galley graphic for the longboat and so need a new Galley graphic. Anyone still with me?

Sipahi (Knight or Cataphract)
Gatling Gun (Cannon or Machine Gun)

Advanced (Really major modifications)

Heavy Ballista (?) [May require animation changes]
Bola Thrower (?)
Tomahawk (same as Bola Thrower)

Try Blender, but I'm currently bashing my head against a wall with it. The Trireme in the game is about as Greek as they come (it was a greek ship, remember) and BTS has an Etheopian archer which would probably work, and their spearman would work for the Nubian

For a lot of these units, youll either have to look through the various ethnic "packs", like for the nubian unit. Most of theses already do exist, you just have to look harder. Or you could just cut to the chase and look through Veritas Delictats art. Most likely a mojority of the units your looking for are in there already.

Like Geomodder says, it's a WH40K unit, and can be found in this pack by Rabbit, White.

But i guess, she wants a civil unit, and not a military one.
BtW: I would also take a bulldozer unit :).

In this converted buildings pack by Walter Hawkwood is an unanimated Ballista unit.

For the Bola Thrower, you could look at some of the slingers in the database.

Many of your requests are generic and it seems many unit models could fill in for them if you wanted. Since you didn't post any pictures of what you wanted I will simply point you toward unit graphics that could work for some of your requests.

Do you mean Ethiopian? If so, this request is very generic, there are a whole lot of black African archers in the database which could stand in as Ethiopian archers. There are too many to bother posting links. :p

If these suggestions work, all that leaves seems to be the Bola Thrower, Gatling Gun, Bola Thrower, Tomahawk and Galley (I don't really know why the galley in the game isn't good enough though).

Hes probably using the Galley as the Viking Logboat UU, because of the dragonhead on the bow. So he needs a different looking default galley. Here are several ethnic galleys theat have had the dragon head removed. I dont know where I got them or who made them.

I also threw in a different Longboat I made a while back.
 
In the past months I worked on a galleys pool, but I've planned to finish and release them in the next autumn.
If you are interested to these galley models, feel free to ask me to speed up my work.
