"All you flame-lamers are ********. First of all, fien maybe you play some dumb-ass run of the mill settigns where it doesnt impact your gamestyle, wheres I play differently, and knowing where horses are is hugely important. Adding animal husbandry will change everything about the way I play, from when I place my city to what techs I research when. So yeah for you modern age junkies it may be soemthign trivial but for me its a huge change. If this was a balancing issue why wasnt it that way from the start? Maybe next patch they'll change soemthing liek the number of GP you can have per city which will make all your specialized cities worthless, then will it be a problem?"
Actually, I'm sure you'll find most people here don't use "run of the mill settings", most of us have been playing CIV for many many many years including me who has played it since CIV 1. Don't assume by the amount of posts I have that I haven't been here a loooong time. You state that it will change everything about the way you play. So? Is that a bad thing? Change your tactics. Adapt. If it had come out this way in the first release you would not be complaining now, so whats the big deal? It wasn't that way from the start because it did not come out in their beta testing. Now it has. So they changed it. They make the game, they choose what to change. You adapt. Simple. Every new Civilzation game has been different, and you have had to change your tactics. Do it again man.
"I made this thread to discuss the impact of the change on the game. If you don't care about it plz go somewhere else This isnt a thread for you to increase your post count."
I don't mind discussing the potential impact of a change on the game, but when you post a thread entitled "Upcoming Patch Ruining the Game"? it does not make people believe you are interested in healthy discourse regarding possible changes. It just seems like you are flaming a product that has not yet been released, and you are saying that the game will be destroyed based on hearsay. People get highly irritated when they see someone posting a thread about something that hasn't even happened yet.
Thirdly, I just want to say, you may be extremely emotional about this change, but I can guarantee you it won't "ruin the game". Most people will continue playing happily, perhaps adapt their tactics a little, but if more than 2 people stop playing this game because of this change, I will be highly surprised.
'nuff said.
