Here it is.
Works for debugging both cities and cultures.
Upload User Settings too - its a folder in mod folder, so you need to zip it first

Also you need to reinstall mod, since culture is provided:

That is issue is with your installation.

Yes and no.
It's the MORE CIVS MEGA PACK that caused some stupid errors, dammit.
It has an outdated format for precisely that: giving Culture bonuses in Cultures_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml.
I've fixed it now by replacing it with the SVN version that is up to date (the same Cultures anyways, not sure why this file is even included to begin with).
Gonna also post it in the relevant thread, since it's just stupid.

Aha, I think I know what's going on. Will look into the relevant code this weekend.
Cool, waiting for the solution.
Not that it's that big of an issue (like I said, I can rename the cities back to whatever I want at any moment), but bugs should be squashed anyways.

Hi! I had the last svn update (11443 v42.0.BETA.6742 - 2022-02-24) and the research and espionage points bars disappear after 150 numbers of turns. Why?

Hi. Same problem here but with svn 11445 (v42.0.BETA.6757 - 2022-03-01), started a new game with an empty UserSettings folder and after a while (didn't count turns) the bars just disappeared.

I'm not using Russian or any other translation, stand alone non Steam program version.
Upload your save, your user settings - folder is in caveman2cosmos, you need to zip it before uploading.
Could be another bug in bug options.

Ok, here they are.

Can't replicate bug. I guess your installation is corrupt, so you have to cleanup SVN.

Or maybe this happens when your civ stops being minor - then tech you are researching gets cancelled and then you have to select it again.

I'll cleanup the SVN to begin with.
Don't remember having to reselect research at any point.

Scratched the SVN folder and built a new one, problem remains.
Are there any settings other than UserSettings that could cause the problem ?

Run game as admin
Ensure that mod folder isn't nested, and is named Caveman2Cosmos

Running the game as admin doesn't help.
Path to the mod folder is "C:\Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos".

Are you running windows 11? you might want to use Windows 10 compatibility mode.

You can reinstall game itself too.

Yep, Windows 11 Pro.
There is no compatibility mode for Windows 10 but I tried compatibility for both Windows 7 & 8 which did nothing.
Maybe time for game reinstall.

Strange though that the bars are initially visible for a number of turns and then just disappears.
Since Khadras had the same problem I was quite sure that the problem was caused by an earlier SVN update.

Not sure what causes it, but since editing the number of civs to 100, I don't get any animals to spawn.
Here's a save of a random game AND the edited file for you to look at.
AND user settings, though I doubt it's relevant.

You have to look for NPC defines, maybe they are hardcoded to some numbers too

If only I knew what the file name is, lol.
There's no file with NPC in its name, ya know.

Ah, got it.
No, I was smart enough to a adjust ALL civ positions appropriately.
So, unless it's in ANOTHER file somewhere, it should work fine.
Barbs kinda do.

And while you're at it, can you maybe tell me, whether "brute-changing" the City Plots data would work?
As in, adding another layer (and doing the math correctly, don't worry).
Or is it handled in some separate (maybe even hardcoded) way?
It'd be rather funny to have HUUUGE cities that way, loool.
Heck, I could literally calculate as many as, dunno, TEN layers of plots per city.
Imagine THAT, mwahahaha!
(But I'd start with just 4 or 5 for now, don't worry.)
