[MOD] v41 SVN and GithubDesktop Bugs and Crashes Single player

I figured out what caused the population drop or at least I think I did. Before researching Levitation all my cities above 25 and suddenly after every city dropped in number. No population dropping events happened while researching.

I see that food production is kinda low in that city.

Sounds like some important buildings got obsoleted revealing broken balance of buildings.
It wasn't that visible until yield revamp, where now only land and trait yields are affected by percentage modifiers.

Vertical farming should help with it - build those farms here and there, also get civics, that maximize food yields.

Levitation obsoletes motorcycle club and nothing else.

So it wasn't fault of this tech

Skyroads is capable of destroying trade income (route 66 wonder is obsoleted), and food from trade can be major factor
This wonder gives 3 trade routes to each city, and increases their income by 50%
Sounds like wonder itself is unbalanced lol

Already had vertical farming, I researched it before.

Every city was stable, no city was starving. I researched skyroads way before levitation.

Here is picture proving the stability, in fact they were growing.

Did you change civics?
Those can affect food production strongly now by influencing food percentage modifier or by influencing trade routes

No, didn't change civics. Only time I make massive changes to civics is during war time.

Did you update SVN at this tech?
It by itself can't destroy food production if you didn't touch any civics including changing to one unlocked by levitation.

Some SVNs ago there was certain bugfix - before it yields stacked on top of itself after every recalc.

There was no SVN released today right? I did all this today.

There was one released yesterday, that reverted broken commit and removed lake size requirement from regular buildings.
Organic cities tech can destroy food production too.

I wonder if buildings requiring civics should obsolete...
In this way some tech partially obsolete civics themselves, as those buildings can be treated as extension of civic.

Didn't think I updated today. And I didn't recalc only time I recalc is when I take a foreign to city to clear out obsolete buildings and a SVN update.

So either way there is serious imbalance issue with buildings, that shows when they obsolete.

But to literally take population out immediately without starving first?

So there wasn't starvation for 20 - 40 turns at first place?
You should be losing one pop per turn if there was starviation.

Are you playing with nuclear meltdown?
It is in bad karma module, and it is disabled by default, because it can destroy buildings and steal population without any event message.
I'm not sure if spies or criminals can take down population this way too

No nuclear meltdown, I hate that event. Like I said I before levitation almost all my cities were over 50 with the smallest in the 30s. I didn't take any foreign cities no updating SVN so no recalc. In the 6 turns of researching somehow most of my cities lost over 40 population.

Do you have save just before it happened? This tech doesn't obsolete anything food related by itself, so can't change food output.

There could be overflow bug with tech chooser, where you have multiple techs selected, and they all get researched at once.

No overflow issue with tech, that never happens until much later. And to prevent a issue like that happening I only queue two columns at a time when I get to later eras. I have two saves, when I started Levitation and when I finished. Also I went through my Asset files and trimmed the amount of edits to prevent any more issues.

I couldn't recreate it, so it seems like it was random corruption, load save before you got levitation and continue from here

Okay, well I already moved on. I just readded the missing population back with world builder. I was mostly worried if it was a serious bug, if it is something random oh well.

By the way I noticed a lot of edits are simply reverting my changes, seems like those are accidental.
