Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.5

I have an idea to make the mod more like the game...
for each unit(on civ) use points of their sister unit(on WH) minimum requirements and all upgrades.

example:
Spoiler :

High Elf Spearmen* Points/model: 11

Unit size 10+
Musician +6
Standard Bearer +12
Champion +12
Total Value = 140pts

High Elf Archer* Points/model: 12

Unit size 10+
Light Armor +1 per model
Musician +6
Standard Bearer +12
Champion +12
Total Value = 160pts

Then... go through all units and pit them against dummies.
First weigh defensive values: Have dummies charge them
Then weigh attack values: Have them charge dummies

Dummies are the "control" of the experiment they have average stats.
M:4, WS:2, BS:2, S:3, T:3, W:1, I:3, A:1, Ld: N/A

This is so when your figuring stats you don't use 20 Goblins on 20 Dwarf Warriors and then 20 High Elf White Lions on the Dwarf Warriors.

pls ask questions... I'll even help with the re-vamp... if you choose to do it.

Just wanted to drop a line and let all involved know what a great time I've had with the mod, it's utterly addictive. Excellent work, really puts a whole new spin on Civ 3.

Something unusal happened in my last game.. I am playing as the Empire, and suddenly on my northern border some Chaos Dwarfs appeared out of nowhere..

I have 11 swordsmen marked by the green dot(+ 2 in every city) waiting for sufficient numbers so I can attack Kislev, they have some Pipeweed and I only have Silks and Spicees. Anyway, should I go to war with CD? Thats 12 slaves, but a minor setback if I lose a couple of swordsmen (and empire swordsmen and greatswords are among the most unlucky units in the game).

What would you do?

Oh, and they came from the north. Look at all that unsettled space up there? My expeditions found no traces of life..

Turnes out they had 3 cities just to the left of the northernmost (left one) visible city. Why did they migrate south? Seriously, look at all that empty space up there.

Anyway, I chose to ignore them and attacked Kislev. I gained 2 cities, they burned down one of mine (size 10!) with silks in the radius. I settled for peace, rebuilt the city, got my silks back and I had the Pipeweed that caused the war in the first place. Don`t do drugs, kids. It`ll make you go to war against a much larger force and almost get your butts kicked.

But that game was going slow, I quit it, and am having fun at another one (also huge, turn-time is killing me). I just wiped out the Orcs cos they had some silks. Now it seems Bretonnia is next, gots some furs. But again, they are much bigger. I`ll have to chopp them down in "3 cities -> peace" intervals. I think it`ll take about 30 turns for this campaign.

@aaglo, so nice to see you again. What have you been up to?

So, do any of you guys bother with chopping down trees when the tech becomes available? The only reason why I would chopp down a forrest is to get some fresh water to the city, but by then Crop Rotation is also available. I mean, i have size 12 Production Monsters by that time too.. I just don`t bother with it. You guys?

If the city needs more food, then sure I cut down the forests around it and build some farms.

I keep all my forests around ready to chop them down when I really need the shields. However, by that time, my city is around size 7, and the production gained from keeping them outweighs the small shield gain from destroying them!

And also, WH fluff is full of cities in the middle of huge forrests..

Well, I took 6 cities in 2 mini-wars. I have built up troops to go and take 3 more cities, and then I`ll have Couronne right within charging range, surrounded by 3 sides.

I have 2 spearmen and a longbowman in every city, and each border city has 5 Reiksguard, a longbowman and 2 Greatswords. My attacking force consists of 10 cavalry and 10 Greatswords, followed by a border city "set". Its fun to watch those Knights Errant just charging mindlessly. Also, my first Reiksguard Knights have been trained. I`ll post a screenie tomorrow, gotta go sleep now. Cheers, mates.

Okie, here we are, my original lands are red, conquered are white. They are split with a red ---- line (what do you call that kind of line in english, btw?). The big fat arrow shows my future plan of conquests:

1.Eliminating the rest of the Bretonnians from the face of Warhammer (they are blue in my version), then
2.taking on Albioners (using Lahmia`s color), they have some nifty wonders.
3.Next are beastmen, cos the furs ended up in their territory (culture),
4.and then 4Gobbos, who are getting quite arrogant since they have Khemri as their patrons. Their trolls might put up a fight, but we shall prevail. Empire always does. When I conquer the goblins and their spices, I`ll steer clear from Cathay, they are on good terms with Khemri too.
5. I suppose I`ll pay a visit to my lost Westerlander relatives. From there on, I don`t know.
6. I will have to eventually take on first Cathay and then Khemri for just a few cities, there is a bottleneck that I can use.

I cut down lots of my forests when playing the Wood Elves... I know they move pretty good in the forests, but does chopping them down make them go any slower?
