Warhammer unit request: Chaos Dwarfs & Hobgoblins

Ok, well maybe Aaglo could make a regular dwarf bowman for lotm (and possibly other mods) then? If he wants to ofcause;)

...must resist... urge to bring up... yet again... the crossbowman that... aaglo doesn't want to make...

Well, he whipped a damn fine looking skeleton archer, so I would think a dwarf bowman should be well within his expertise. Its just a matter of convincing him to do it. :D

I'll see what I can do with the hobbit&dwarf bowmen + the friggin' dwarf crossbowman... later (say you need it urgently in the Lord of the Mods, and I won't believe you ;) )

Anyway, even though this is not an undead request/preview thread, this thing is closely tied to the warhammer fantasy. See? :p

Suggestions on colouring ect. are welcome :)
[edit]: as you may notice, some of the 'bandages' in the legs & arms are civ-coloured. Would it be better if none of those bandages were in civ-colour?. There is also a possibility to make the decorations in the blades (currently brass) to make civ-coloured (altough that looks a bit messy IMO).

AWESOME!!!

I like it just the way it is.

This is an undead giant right? Then you should make sure it's the same size as ED's older giants.¨

edit: it looks great too;)

Look very good! The only possible improvement I can think of wouldbe to make the skull more... feral. Im' not sure how to describe it, but I think if it didn't just look like a large skeleton it'd add more to it for some reason.

Given that the existing Giant artwork essentially has an exposed torso, might you consider having this Giant Skeleton have less chest armor and more bones? Removing some chest armor and adding some rotting flesh might let it double as Giant Skeleton or a Giant Zombie.

Even if you leave it exactly the way it is, its a great unit.

Cheers

No I won't :p. This giant is one of the tomb kings - it's not just a dead giant, it's thousands of years old monstrosity.

I'm afraid I have to say no again :mischief: . It's based on the actual warhammer fantasy model.

Nothing to criticize over here. Looks great.

I understand. As I have zero experience with the Warhammer figurines I was not aware that you had one as a model. Thanks for listening.

Wow. That's all.

Edit: Actually, a few comments.

1) Amazing job, I can't wait to see this one finished.
2) Stick with bronze for the sword decorations, you've got enough civ color as is
3) Any chance you could add the skeleton-headress the bone giant wears in the picture you posted?
4) In that same picture, the bone giant has a small blue beard hanging down from his chin - like the kind Pharoahs are often depicted as having. Any chance you could add the beard?
5) Once again, amazing job.

1) thanks :) .
2) yep, I like the bronze decors in the swords too.
3) propably no chance, since there are also bone giant models without that headress. besides, it just looks silly.
4) propably no chance on adding the pharaoh-beard, since there are also bone giant models without that beard. besides, that beard looks like it's a bit too much 'out there' :p .
5) once again, thanks :) .

No funny headress or pharoah beard?? :( shame... I really liked that headress. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. :)

aaglo, that new avatar of yours, is... wicked. I'd say that Mr.Do ought to be happy.

What's even more wicked is that you did it by typing. I'm sorry if I keep coming back to this issue, but I really don't understand how that's possible. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.

Of course, there are lots of other things people do that baffle me. Like those rhythmic gymnastics where they throw those balls and scarves and always catch them while spinning around themselves. Or magicians. Never understood how they do half their stuff... Ehm, this isn't probably the thread for this.

Well, no pharaoh beard, but I decided to make a test with the headress. Okay, it looks silly (to me), but maybe that's just me. :)

It looks like there's fungus growing out of his head. I guess it depends on the viewer, whether that's a good thing. I'd personally prefer it without the headress.

well, it seems I'm outvoted on the headress thing. I dunno, I just think his skull looks really bare without something like the headress or beard on it. And I know that it is a skeleton and so there's nothing wrong with a bare skull.

Oh well, being sans headress doesn't detract from the overall awesomeness of the unit. :)
