*yawn* Alert me when they release Halo 3 for Windows 10. Or whatever version of Windows they are trying to push when they release it. (I still haven't forgiven them for making Vista required for Halo 2 when it was a DX9 game in early 2007, and that's why I still play Halo: Combat Evolved and never have bought Halo 2. But nevertheless, I'd still be more interested in Halo 3 for PC than some spin-off, particularly if they don't make the same mistake of trying to push a new OS right after launch instead of selling the game to the most people possible).

I bought Gunpoint for 75% off on the day before the Summer Sale started - having played the demo, I would've bought it if it were 50% off, but I'll take the extra $2.50. Haven't bought anything in the summer sale yet though.

I got the xcom eu/bureau package for $8.49. Bureau has awful reviews but it was only a buck more to get it with xcom eu.

Also got space chem! My god this game is addictive! I am not usually that into puzzle games. This one is hard to put down.

Australia got sharfted up the anus hole again
We have to pay $6usd vs Us price of $4 usd vs RU price of $3.5usd

I tried to buy it from Steam trades for the RU price but it is region lock.:mad::mad:

Gog is giving away Omerta city of gangsters for free for about an hour more. Probably to promote a new expansion for the game which is discounted. I have wanted to try this game for a while but some bad reviews have stopped me from spending money on it.

The game's okay. The tactical combat is like XCOM, but not very good. I wouldn't say the game is bad, but it isn't great either.

Now they're giving away torchlight for free for about 2 hours. Pretty good diablo clone dungeon crawler although the second one is a lot better.

I got Tomb Raider GOTY for $4.40 usd
Should I buy Fallout new Vegas ? I found Fallout 3 too be only an average rpg game. (As in I played it once only and only enough to complete the main storyline) Whats borderlands 2 single player like ? Or is there drop in and out co-op. Its pretty cheap game at $4.50

Let me know how tomb raider is. I really like 3rd person action types like batman arkham city, but I don't like it when there's too much difficult exploring/jumping from place to place. Like there were a few stages in darksiders I absolutely hated, all puzzles and well timed jumps to get from one platform to another.

i was the same with New Vegas. not nearly as replayable as I'd hoped. and borderlands 2 is totally drop in/out for co-op. no other mp other than some duels. but the rooms arent as populated as they once were. its hard to find some pick up games for the mid 60s levels since not everyone bought the Ultimate Vault Hunters dlc to let you get to 72. and unless you have friends who still regularly play you might have a hard time. i didnt get any of the seasonal headhunter stuff though. i put in way too much time for it anyway.

the single player stuff is really fun and creative but you only NEED to get through the main storyline to get to the harder difficulties. the DLCs for the most part were really good. if you ever played any D&D tabletop stuff, Tiny Tina's dlc was simply awesome. and its a loot-filled game, seriously. to have a chance at many of the bosses you need seriously good gear. it got tedious after a while farming stuff but its also hackable now with little repercussions these days (for PC at least). youll find many games where players will dupe an item for you. it helps to blow thru quests youve already done 100 times. totally worth the money, imo.

I highly recommend Fallout: New Vegas, I didn't even install any mods during my first playthrough of it. It has a pretty decent story, some really great DLC (and some that's just alright with some cool moments or a cool character), lots of great NPCs and quests and dialogue choices. My only complaint is that it was slightly less interesting to explore the Mojave than it was the Capital Wasteland in F3, but you do tend to find cooler stuff and most of that is simply because A) it is a desert and B) the engine doesn't do very pretty looking deserts.

Jade Empire keeps coming up on gog for $2.99. I've heard it's quite good. How would is play say compared to dragon age origins? I have heard it compared to knights of the old republic many times but I haven't played knights. What about compared maybe to neverwinter knights 2? I liked da:origins a ton, a lot of the d&d stuff was abstracted and it was more action like. I hated the combat in nwn2 because I never understood the d&d stats and how to increase dmg and stuff or get multiple rolls. Rolls are alright I guess but too many stats in that game and too confusing. Is jade empire kind of in between?

The combat mechanics of Jade Empire I would say are kind of like a fighting game but simpler.

Dose not work correctly as people reporting that it fails to start on newer OS system and no patch or fix in sight.
It plays very similar to Dragon Age, but it is a lot tighter, leaner and more polished think of Mass Effect 2, short run simple paragon, renegade choices, with some tactical combat.

EDIT: Its half way between SWTOR and Mass Effect 2. Enjoyable RPG but remember lot of people unable to get the game to run and no fix in sight.

Not sure if recommending NewVegas or saying it is worse then Fallout3 ?

Dammit borderlands2 sale is over and people want more for the game already :( (Australia region price is double rest of world)
I dont like the idea of grind missions over and over for loot, played that a bit in dungeon defenders gets boring very fast for me, even with all the different characters. I had the impression that content was randomized like diablo.

borderlands 2 goty will be discounted again. just wait til christmas sale.

loot is randomized except for uniques that are fixed quest rewards. some of them are worth keeping. tons of youtube videos to show all the cool secrets. grinding definitely gets old but seeing some skill/loot combos are worth it for a little while. bosses that are impossible can be dropped in 15-20 seconds with crazy combos. i put in at least 200 hours that i shouldnt have if i'd just agreed to use some of the mods to save me the time. every class is pretty fun to play (except Assassin--for some reason they were tedious and boring to me).

There's 4 days left of the sale, borderlands will be on sale again, maybe a flash or vote, but it'll pop up again.

I got jade empire, will have to download and try it fast then, cus gog has a 30 day return policy :D

Edit: It's up for vote right now, go vote on borderlands 2 for 75% off.
