Weekend Specials Online

All 5 games in the Geneforge Saga for $4, if anyone wants an old-school RPG. Great games that I've mentioned here before, and this deal is too good to pass up.

I got jade empire, will have to download and try it fast then, cus gog has a 30 day return policy :D

Imagine if you had like 719 hours and 59 mins game time on it and then decided to return the game after 30days period. 30 day return for credits its a good idea, Steam should do this for its early access games.

To clarify you only get 14 days to return no questions asked. You get 30 days to return for technical issues but I think they require you to open a support ticket first and show the issue can't be resolved.

So far I've picked up the following on the Summer Sale;

Far Cry 3
Witcher 2
Van Helsing 2
Trine 2
Dragon Age Origins
Dishonored
Age of Wonders 3
Space Pirates and Zombies
Spacechem
Antichamber
Spelunky

Overall a pretty nice sale IMHO, I certainly found lots of interesting suggestions from the Steam Forums Hidden Gems thread.

I absolutely love SPAZ, that game looks sweet. I only glanced at the page though, any plans for it to go on steam?

Its development is at snails pace, I recommend not to play it and wait for it to be completed. (Probably another 2 years) By that time the warband style open world should be finished.
Borderlands2 has been underwhelming, initially it was quite good but then the enemies became ridiculous bullet sponges and Iam stuck using the beginner sniper rifle to make head shots. Is there someway to fix this ? I want enemies to die quickly and not empty two clips just to kill a single normal bad guy.

Dino D-Day (which I have heard is much improved and fixed up now after releasing before it was finished) is free via PCGamer & Bundlestars. It does require a Facebook like though.

Also it has trading cards.

sounds like the first normal difficulty. its mostly like a tutorial. the game is designed to be played through to the higher difficulties. you dont get to just pick one so you play thru the main storyline to reach the harder stuff. the following one, True Vault Hunter mode, is certainly harder but still very survivable. The last one, Ultimate Vault Hunter came in a DLC to really up the difficulty. it is not survivable with mundane gear, at least for bosses and Super Badass lvl mobs. you need to really get some good gear to make it. but it doesnt have to be super rares but it has to at least be better than green or white items.

you can use multiplayer to coop thru the story but they dont have the numbers anymore to always find a good room. I can find games for the lvl 72 crowd (and Over Power lvls) but the ones between 55-68 or so are just absent.

i think the game is fun enough that replaying certain maps and quests over and over again really isnt bad. and mp when you have a full room is pretty fun.

I think his problem might be that he just hasn't gotten any new weapons that are a higher level and stats, since the game is very Diablo-loot based instead of any sort of realism in regards to the effects of a bullet hitting someone or something.

haha, i misread that i guess. i thought he was complaining theyre too easy. youll find people in mp that will gift or dupe their good gear. its much easier than farming bosses ad nauseum now that the game's been out for so long.

Yeah the game is currently too hard as basic enemies are all bullet sponges. It feels kind ridiculous that it takes like 50 bullets to kill one bad guy.

Farming bosses is not my idea of fun :(

New humble bundle is up and it's good.

Bioshock, xcom bureau and darkness 2 for $1, beat the average ~5 to get bioshock 2, mafia 2 and spec ops the line. Pay $20 to get xcom EU and bioshock infinite.

The $20 seems high but if you're paying $5 already bioshock and xcom eu bottomed out at 75% off for $7.50 on steam summer sale last month so it's not a stellar deal but basically what you would get anywhere else. Also they'll be adding more games later.

I will be buying this tonight but I already have xcom bureau and mafia 2 so if anyone has a game code they want to trade let me know.

The first two tiers are a great deal but literally the only game in it I don't have is The Darkness II. I wonder what they'll add, probably one of the Civs.

Humble 2k bundle

$1 +
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Bioshock
The Darkness II

$7+
BioShock 2
Mafia II
Spec Ops: The Line
Mystery games ?

$20+
XCOM: Enemy Unknown

First tier definitely worth the price.
Second tier not bad, no idea what the mystery games will be though.

Hoping you guys will update the mystery games in case I forget. :p

The Darkness II seems to be worth the dollar, at least.
