I used to joke in my english literature classes that "Jane Eyre" (one of the set texts) was perhaps the greatest cure for insomnia ever invented.

I think that applies to alot of 19th century literature, dickens being one of my personal favourites.

currently waddling through:
adrain desmond - huxley
orham pamuk - the black book
and half a dozen psych. texts the size of bricks.

"De organisatie van de West-Europese samenwerking"

"The organisation of the Western-European cooperation"

Gotta read it for uni, It's book with reasons to bash the French ;)

Picked up War & Peace on Saturday, haven't had the time to get past the intro so far. It had too much pretentious French in it.

"The Origins of the Wars of German Unification"-William Carr.
Set text for history.....a bit waffly, but has an interesting perspective on Bismarck.

The rise of Endymion ,the final book of the Hyperion saga by dan Simmons (Hyperion-the fall of Hyperion-Endymion-the rise of Endymion)

Very good science fiction IMO ,and well awarded by it's peers.

Took my time to read that one out (the unabridged version) ,read it in English (native languaghe is dutch) ,It's a good book but towards the end it gets somewhat boring when Tolstoj is rambling on how the French army disintegrated after Moscow.

The Fountainhead.
Ayn Rand.

Figure i ought to know what she's all about, so i can argue with you folks

Dune by Frank Herbert.

Although a bit childish, I've got to say The Outsiders by Something Something Hinton. :)

I just ended Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, so anyone got any recommendations on what should I read next? Keep in mind, im only 13, non-fiction in brainwash for me(in other words, I HATE IT.):)

im on the 7th book in the "Cirque Du Freak" series and i must say they are pretty damn good. i am also reading the 4th Artemis Fowl book, also a good story.

Right now I'm digging through the algorithm Bible by the prophets Cormen, Sorenssen and Rivest. I warmly recommend it :)
