I watched both of those last night too. It was kind of funny that they were posted back to back from the same source.

Got an hour? I highly recommend watching this dramatised version of Carmina Burana.

For some reason, although the film itself exists and there is a very undetailed IMDb page for it, there seems to be near zero references to it in any of the top google searches or the Wikipedia page for the composition, in popular culture, the actors and director.
It is still an amazing thing to watch and according to the youtube and IMDb page, Karl Orff personally worked with the director to produce his personalised version of Carmina Burana.

Watch it with translations at your side, cause it makes far more sense. Unless you know Latin, a bit of middle German and a bit of old Provencal.

Xenogears is a beautiful game. I beat it over a month ago but I still can not stop listening to music from the game.

A lecture by Michael Pollan to the Royal Society on 'food rules'. It may be a preview of his In Defense of Food, but he never gave his basic approach: "Eat food; not too much, mostly plants."

The timing here is perfect... right as the camera is zooming in on his bride-to-be for her close-up shot (at around the 0:57 second point), you just see dude fall backwards completely limber like a tree chopped down. It's hilarious. I'm a terrible person.
