What happened to Europe?

Any reason for you to hate the man? Beyond him being German, I mean...

A few:

-He helped ruin Europe through austerity
-He is unable to act fittingly to his roles (eg as a european parliament president he was very partisan)
-He isn't presenting any intelligent or helpful insight, and instead is another of the drones for the status quo
Other than that... just look at him, he looks like a 1950s west Berlin serial killer. I am actually still surprised that germans (some of whom obviously are very cultured, though the other half is sort of lowly Bild readers) vote for such people :satan:

I liked his plans for dealing with post-war Europe. Not going to elaborate further.
Yeah; you, like Roosevelt, had a pathologic hatred of deGaulle. Not saying you would have tried to appoint an ex-Nazi as leader of the French government over deGaulle but your decision process would have been far longer than it had any right to be.

I see you're not even attempting to be serious. Well, this really isn't an RD thread...

It's just a bit sad you would call someone "almost literally a vermin" because you don't like his face for some opaque reason.
EDIT: Maybe that is the type of a public debate that happened to Europe. Or at least Greece.

Lol, yeah, maybe you should reflect on the three points about why Schulz is a crap candidate and was part of the eu fall already. But it's ok if you just mean to troll me, though it has become boring as you know.

Let alone that you shouldn't troll, given it is fairly easy to name your own country, Estonia, as a 100% blind client-state of Germany, so in that logic of projecting why anyone posts something why should your own pro-Schulz or whatever view be seen as non-laughable.

The view that maybe there should be a reason to call someone "vermin" beyond "he doesn't impress me"? Yeah, laughable, I know.

^Why? I said he is "almost literally a vermin". Not seeing why that offended you. Not that you make any sense by claiming my view of him is that "he doesn't impress me", my view states why i find him to be part of the issues with the Eu, a status quo-drone, partisan and a person who has about 0% chance of making anything better in the Eu, continuing the charade of austerity like similar figureheads already tested.

What do you think about Schulz? Hes becoming very popular in Germany, main perspective chancellor candidate against Merkel. I am really worried, hes the worst of worst.
Worst of the worst? I only did a quick Googling on the subject, and I didn't find a comprehensive list on his policy positions. But generally, I would tend to agree with his stance on EU and defense policy, while I dread his diplomatic abilities. Then again; I only did a quick research which didn't turn in a comprehensive list of his policies.

I notice that nobody has disputed Kyriakos' "1950s West Berlin serial killer" description.

...so, he's balding?

He is (or pretends to be) pretty left wing and wants (or pretends to want to) bring the Social Democrats back from the center to Social Democracy. That makes him "worst of the worst" for someone of REDY's political leanings.
He's currently our best hope to get rid of Merkel and Schäuble and the austerity fetish, but he's pro EU and German, which makes him "vermin".
I myself am pretty sceptical. SPD in campaign mode os usually more left-wing than SPD in government mode, but at least they aren't outright dismissing the possibility of a coalition with our actual leftist party. That might be one of the reasons that the SPD's poll numbers are skyrocketing now.
A probably more important reason is that Schulz hasn't been a name in German politics for a while, so he has the veneer of an outsider despite his long political carreer. That gives him a quasi-populist appeal without the obvious incompetence or the hate- and fearmongering. He might become chancellor simply because the German electorate isn't sick of him.

Is it likely that Schulz would actually be anti-austerity? Cause up to now he hasn't done anything to that direction. I'd like to hope he would do something good, but i am way repulsed by the entire charade of german-led Eu.
