Christians don't really have to deal with discrimination as much as gays. I think there's some discrimination in the media, such as avoiding TV shows or songs with an overt Christian theme except on Christian channels so I wouldn't say there's no discrimination but not as much as gays have to put up with.
Also if your religious views are used to justify prejudice against homosexuals then I think you can expect people to have a problem with it. Some of your support for discrimination against gays may not rest entirely on your religious views but I would think at least a gay marriage ban would have nothing going for it but religious based discrimination.
I do agree that there are times that gays, like any group pushing for equal rights can be overly pushy and that would be counter-productive but to characterize the entire gay rights movement as pushy zealouts who want to shove homosexuality in your face is inaccurate. Gay rights won't get very far just politely waiting for people to quietly accept us. There's also just no way to earn the acceptance of some people.
