What is the US up to with regard to Iran?

And that, alone, is inadequate. With NK and Iran you are talking armament. Do you think a deal with the North Korean regime that achieves nuclear disarmament is possible with any negotiator? I think things would at least seem to have to change in NK. I'm guessing Iran is strong enough that things are going/have gone that way as well. Do you think there is anything the rest of the world could offer the PRC that would tempt the government to stop planning on developing its military first to parity and then almost certainly supremacy over any other available opposing force?

There was an agreement with Iran that they had kept to until after Trump decided he didn't like it.
John Bolton's endorsement of the Libya model for dealing with North Korea certainly doesn't give them any incentive to disarm.

The agreement with Europe was a slowing. I agree on the Libya thing.

We will see which set of proposed policies Trump actually follows. He's the same guy who said "to the victors go the spoils" when it came to using violence to steal from a people

MAGA :(

Ronald McDonald or Pennywise?

Doesn't seem to be working with NK, Iran or China. For people to sit down at the table with you they have to consider you a trustworthy person.

NK and China are at the table, Iran will be soon. Trump reminds me of the Pharaohs who obliterated or defaced monuments to their predecessors. He seems to be trying to demolish Obama's legacy and replacing it with his own brand.

Well Trump dose have an excellent record of success with both NK and Ghina
I look forward to Trump announcing he fell in love with the Ayatollah

What success has Trump has negotiating any deals with anyone considered our adversary? Please list them.

All to support his massive narcissistic ego. It is certainly not for the betterment of Americans or the country. His brand? Lying, cheating, stealing, while wearing big red ties. His comb-over says it all: "I'm hiding the truth; I spend hours everyday to fake looking good on the outside, but am hiding the evil truth."

US ships, from destroyers to aircraft carriers have no chance to survive attacks from modern ballistic missiles with conventional warheads when within a thousand miles of the coastline of an enemy.

Just saying.

Some the US's best anti-missile systems are shipboard and the carriers would not stray far from AEGIS cover and their missile interceptors. A mass launch of IRBM-class missiles would easily overwhelm a carrier group but not many countries have enough inventory of long-ranged missiles to overwhelm a carrier group, nor would many of those that do be inclined to launch a surprise all-out attack on a carrier group as their first move. By no means are the carriers invulnerable, just that they have covered this particular base.

yes

I just wanted to add to the discussion that some US carriers steaming to seas near Iran and then having air raids from them on Iranian targets will be like some video game where the opponent cannot bite back.

iranians have been "visited" by Mach 10 craft , if you are ever tempted to believe them and lost one of their newest or at least best maintained F-14s to one . Unbelievers declare it was shot down in error by Revolutionary Guard SAM battery around their Bushehr reactor . ı hate it very much , but Judgement Day obviously makes one to stop wars before they begin (if ever possible) and lets just stick that if Americans were so powerful to play video games , they would have been already pacifying Beijing , after Iran and Russia trumpled into dust .

So what's your thoughts on the troops moving in?

You mean for Iran? I heard it was a small force compared to what we already have in the region (1500 - 60-80k). Negotiating tool. Send a message, get your butts to the table. Its like when Bolton was seen walking around with a pad of paper with 5,000 troops to Colombia written on it for the world to see. As the bluff is used repeatedly the fear factor has to be increased. Dont cross this line, dont cross it, I'm telling you, do not cross this line! Its all BS to scare Iran into making a deal Trump can brag about.

And its not working. NK has restarted missile tests.
Now Trump is left with either using the big stick or looking like a blowhard.

Frankly, the U.S., Britain, France, and Russia (and Israel, for that matter)'s policy toward Iran's nuclear weapons program (and North Korea) is naked, blatant hypocrisy. Unless nations who object to Third World despots' nuclear ambitions are sincere supporters of a zero-nuclear-weapons world, where ABSOLUTELY NO nation on Earth has them as a serious and stated end-goal in a foreseeable future, they're just throwing stones from glass houses and their motives and intentions can be given no credibility AT ALL.

Russia, NK and the Taliban
So what are the successful deals he has negotiated with these guys? Any new treaties in place? Any new trade deals? Are there fewer weapons in the world? Oh ad Did Trump negotiate with the Taliban? I don't remember him meeting with them.

Thanks to Trump, Russia, NK and the Taliban started making successful deals between each other!

Well, playing Globo-Cop was something Trump was piss poor at anyways, and something the U.S. should have ended long ago, perhaps not even started. Although I'm not a hard Libertarian, Ron Paul was right, and was the only high-profile U.S. Federal Government politician in the 21st Century, along with Dennis Kucinich to openly admit and announce publicly that such constant, paternalistic (and resource-driven, and playing tit-for-tat with the USSR, and later Russia and China) military and political interventionism around the globe is the REAL reason for international animosity against the U.S. and Americans, and for the rise, and success in recruitment, of "terrorist' groups specifically targeting the U.S.

It'll be fun to see all the players eager to fight with dad step into the cop roles they pick up. Lots of state surveillance going in around the world, ah the harmony.
