I expect to get Civ4 for Christmas.

Wow! I had to wait until November 2, so my kids could give it to me for my birthday. That week was hard. I don't know if I could have held out until christmas.

I *could* have had it for my birthday 2 weeks ago, but I told them not to bother. It's *easy* to wait when your system won't run the game, anyway. ;)

Age: 28
Location: Dublin, Ireland (born and raised in Holland though, moved here nearly 3 years ago)

I played Civ I in the early 90's... Bought Civ II on release day, but never really liked it... so continued with Civ I :) Bought Civ III on release day as well, loved it... obviously bought PTW and Conquests on the release days as well and now the same with Civ IV... I ordered the US pre-order version, cost me a load of money but I had the game a few days before the official Europeon Launch so well worth the investment :).

Age - 72 in a couple of days, which will muck up the histogram.
Location - Torquay, England
Began with Civ I, pretty well on release. Went on to Civ II; wonderful. Then Civ III but was very disappointed (corruption !). Now Civ IV, which is testing my aging computer as well as my equally-aging brain.

There's hope for me yet!

I was wondering if I'd still be playing games in 30 years or so; I couldn't imagine *not* playing, but then I couldn't imagine being 70 and peering at a computer screen playing Doom XVII either!

You're a pioneer for the rest of us :)

Bushface, you created a gap of about 10 years in the histogram.

I call this the critical zone.
This is the zone that if you crossed, then you already won :)

Hell, if I managed to cross that zone, I would be playing Civ XVII (as Kolyana suggested :) ) 24/7 non-stop.
