Started with Civ I oh so many years ago, been playing every part of the series since - probably way to much *g*
And I also played Alpha Centauri a lot and a little of that strange other game's first part, but I've forgotten the name (something with C definitely :P )

PS: Interesstingly Civ tought me quite a bit of my english vocabulary. And still some people say games are bad. :P

What's interesting about the histogram is it shows a higher incidence of 25-30 yr/old playing civ then 20-25. Much higher in fact. I don't know if it's because these young kids now 'adays don't have the paitence for turn-based strategy, or the ceontect in civ appeals more to a mature audience. I think one thing we all need to do is encourage more female gaming!
The reason for this is not the in general not existing difference in maturity between a 23 year old, like me, and a 27 year old, but rather, as I believe, the time when Civ I came out. Most people under the age of 25 weren't really in an age when parents would allow them to play or didn't even have a PC back then.

Actually I prefer industrial no resource units to start, less luck dependant, at least at the beginning anyway.

Oh sorry you meant my physical age.

Age: 33

Mental age: about 14

I'm fourteen years old, I'm from a stupid little city in Sweden called Kiruna. I've played all the Civ-games but I only own Civ3 and Civ4.

I think I first played Civ when I found a trial version of Civ2 on my father's computer. I joined CFC in early 2004, and I had absolutely no idea Civ3 had been released, let alone that Civ4 was in development. I got Civ3 for my 13th birthday the same year, and I got Civ4 for Christmas last year.

Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Have owned all Civ games since 1.0. Including Alpha Centurai, Call to Power, etc. I bought my first PC for the sole purpose of playing Civ I. Played it on an amber monitor for the first year.

Civ 4 is fantastic. Trying to balance Civ/work/family - a challenging strategy game in and of itself. ;)
