I saw Fearless yesterday. :goodjob:
It's a lot better than most movies with Jet Li (but not as good as Hero).

I showed my nephew "The Princess Bride". He'd never seen it. He's 17. tsk tsk

I saw Silverado again this weekend. Great movie

I haven't heard good things about The Black Dhalia.

It's quite good, bit gruesome in parts though.

Watched Freeway. Weird but still worth a watch, allthough nowhere as good as Natural Born Killers, no matter what the review said.

I didn't even see that many similarities between this and NBK, though. :hmm:

The second weekend movie was The Matador. Allthough not quite what I expected - more laughs than action - it still was quite enjoyable.

Watched Severance Yesterday. Its fun, its bloody, its low budget and stupid. Much better than those Holloywood horror movies with stupid teenagers thou. and the british humour are crude and funny as always. 3.5/5 stars :D

i saw "station manager" recentlt. wasnt great.

wasnt bad, but it was not great, had i known how it was before hand, i wouldnt have watched it.

I am meaning to go see a movie in a theater; havent done that in years :)

Any suggestions? (is black dhalia any good?)
if i can offer 1 piece of advice about cinemas, its dont go.

people talking to each other and eating stuff and chewing with their mouth open always ruined it for me.

Excellent movie! We were talking about that in class yesterday. I love the scene with the wine glasses being switched. Its a classic movie.

I saw V for Vendetta a few hours ago.

I liked the Benny Hill parody, and the actor playing the dictator. However i do not see what purpose this film has; without the Guy Fawkes modification it is just another 1984-clone :S

There was no character depth, and the theme of the abominated central character who becomes a vigilante is just too used-up by now imo

I saw "The History Boys" a few nights ago. Some of the funniest, sharpest writing I've seen on screen for a while (by Alan Bennett). The acting was very impressive (same cast as the long running stage show apparently) and the honesty between the boys and teachers was quite refreshing to see. It was also a wonderful comment on the nature of knowledge in schools; with a tension played out between Hector, who preferred a more chaotic 'knowledge for its own sake' approach to teaching and the Headmaster, who was drearily driven by results and 'quantifiability'. Very telling on the ways our societies are going.

Over the weekend I watched:

Lost, Season 2; Episodes 8-17.
I like your style. I find that I simply cannot, rather will not, sit down for an hour on a specific evening each week to watch them. So I did much the same. Watched the whole of series 2 in about 3 days flat. It was excellent!

Just had a quick peek at Grizzly Man by Werner Herzog/Timothy Treadwell
Thanks for the reminder. :)

I thought that was well worth seeing. The main character was complete in his moral make up. Very good stuff in that one! But I agree the characters lacked depth and that the state was a bit of a pastiche.

i saw this movie a few days ago and liked it alot. 4/5.

yeah it has some flash and ninja style blade work, but ill take that over too much drama and too much talking, im not reading a book, i wanna see crap explode! :goodjob:

in fact i watched the ending twice.

ps.ive also seen half of grizzly man, it wasnt really entertaining knowing what happened to the guy so i didnt see all of it.

im watching the movie Red Dawn.

havent seen it in many years. its easily the dumbest thing ive ever seen in my life.

if you have something going in your life, if you have a life, i recommend you watching this movie, its so bad, its really good!

if you live in a cabin you built on top of your buried weapons cache waiting for the race war to start: GO WOLVERINES! :goodjob:

Can't really think of anything more appropriate than "Ghosts". "Gengangere" litterally means "those who walk again". The most direct translation would be "Rewalkers", but that word doesn't exist:)

"Revenants". Different etymology (comes from French) but has pretty much the same literal meaning -- "those who come again". Also sounds more sinister and stylish than a mere "ghosts".

Obtopic: Twillight Samurai is the most recent movie I've seen. Pretty good stuff.
