Talk Talk was an underrated band. For some reason I associate them with The Fixx, but I don't know why. I mean, they're both from London, but so are a lot of people. I must have started hearing them around the same time, or something.

One thing I always enjoyed about the Fixx is their guitarist's unique style. The album Reach the Beach is rife with catchy hooks and an overall unique sound that is less evident in some of their later work (Calm Animals is terrible IMHO).

This is a fantastic example of what I mean by unique guitar style, and it is actually one of my favorite ever songs:
