I apologize. I didn't know that I was blocking others from posting.

A grey morning today, literally and figuratively, so Garlands (1982) was just the thing. This may have been the album that propelled me into alternative music when I was 14-15. Here's "Shallow then Halo."

Funky Friday: I'm not sure Kool & the Gang get enough respect. If you're getting into funk or soul or R&B, Wild and Peaceful ought to be on your list of albums to listen to. Quentin Tarantino put "Jungle Boogie" in everybody's ears back in '94, which is a great song, but I kind of think "Funky Stuff" is my preferred track. That descending bass-and-kick-drum thing hits me in the back of the head every time. Is that a "descending chromatic"? I heard an opera singer on YouTube describe a line as a descending chromatic, but I don't know if that's just an opera term, or just a singing term, or what. La-di-da-di-da... la-di-da-di-da...

Sorted the issues with YT wanting my approval for this & that again so I can once more get links from this machine.

Respect the beards.

Eisfabrik - Saving Shore

Surprise bonus - new stuff released only two days ago. The sound is still there.

Solitary Experiments - Every Now And Then

edit 2

The EP seems to have a great IR (Phelps, I assume) remix as well so let's call the best Americans have ever produced. The sound is ballsy.
