I

think I broke it.

EDIT: It was BetterFPS. Apparently one of the algorithms is super glitchy and results in this. It's good for a laugh, at least.

Roblox should have gone extinct in like 2011 but they supercopied everything, and made it available for free, and also on consoles. I blame consoles.

Does NMS have terraforming a la Spore? That blue colour palette looks miserable.

That's night. My planet has blue rings, so the "moonlight" is uniformly blue. I like it; probably more for the illumination than the color. On planets without rings nights can be annoyingly dark.

@hobbsyoyo the newest update to the new update added N and S markers on the compass. Adding that to the latitude and longitude readouts makes it possible to just fly to anyplace you want, as long as you noted the coordinates.

By following a random series of links starting on aimee's YouTube page I ended up finding the Home of the Underdogs page. If I die in front of a computer from playing too many Titus games I'll blame you, aimee the Tom Petty fan.

Sorry.

Don't be! I have been trying to locate an ooold game called Tankkk (made in Finland, where the language seems to be made of k's and ä's with some p's thrown into the mix) and stumbled upon a simultaneously cheering and depressing forum thread (2003-16 and who knows about necros?) where people discuss the ‘best games of all time’ and dammit most of the games mentioned (Doom, Fallout I and II, Civ, Quake, Warcraft, etc.) still hold up and our best and biggest releases are FIFA :ack: but yet some things e.g. Frogatto still are created… I'm rambling. Back to playing Wesnoth with me.

So I might have had a slight mishap with the Ore Excavation mod, which, contrary to its name, will excavate non-ore blocks as well.

And I may have to rebuild my house again...

Uh-oh.

He teleported back out once it stopped raining, though.

Also, I thought it'd be a good idea to put some Decocraft salt & pepper shakers on top of a Bibliocraft table.

As well, I've found a way to squeeze decent performance out of my heavily modded game.

Which mostly involves more mods, and some Java arguments.
  • Code:
    -XX:+UseG1GC -Xmx5G -Xms5G -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=2147483646 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M
Took from this reddit thread, though I gave it an extra gigabyte to work with.
  • Optifine. This requires an older version of Forge and tends to hiccup with a lot of mods, so YMMV.
  • BetterFPS. Don't use Taylor's Algorithm. It's a little glitchy.
  • FoamFix. Disabling animated textures in its config cuts down a lot of memory usage.
  • Phosphor. Optimizes lighting engine.
  • Clumps. Groups XP orbs together.

We're doing the old school looks? Just a routine walk in the roguelike park:

Note: if you try dungeon crawl stone soup for the first time, you probably shouldn't pick Xom as your god. Though as a god of chaos the deaths can be somewhat spectacular.

Spoiler :
Though I actually survived this one :p

"The bolt of fire hits the orb of fire. The orb of fire completely resists."

It'd be a shame if the fire caught on fire.

For reference OOFs are reasonably regarded as the most dangerous enemies in the game other than Pan/Hell lords. Having 5 of them on screen is very, very, very bad news by itself. On a high roll just the ancient lich can hit for 144 damage in a round too. This is the result of a very unlucky teleport trap and I was lucky to survive it.

Interesting aside: the game does have some spells that have partially irresistible damage. While it's not exactly a top choice, it *IS* possible to kill orbs of fire with the firestorm spell for example. So the "orb of fire completely resists" is, bizarrely enough, relevant information.

Path of Exile: Yeah, undead minions are completely imbalanced, I think even more so than Brands. I played my Cyclone Gladiator and my Summon Raging Spirit Necromancer back to back - they happen to be around the same level, and have each just finished Act V - and the difference was dramatic. The Necromancer has better offense and better defense, is just as good at clearing crowds of goons, while being much better against bosses and tough, single monsters than the Gladiator. Orange-named bad guys like Utula and the Matriarch got obliterated by my minions so fast that I didn't even see it happen, and she mopped the floor with Kitava's face.

I'm running an oni goroshi with static strike and pretty much just walking through stuff and watching it burn. Going slayer ascendancy. I'm in Act 9. It is a strange feeling to full clear temple incursions and upgrade all the rooms. In any case this guy is great fun to play.

@EgonSpengler Folks I chat with in game have confirmed that minion builds kick ass this go around.

Glorious People's Republic of China drops the vengeance weapon on Japan's provisional capital (they've been invaded by the Allies and Tokyo already fell)

Nice and toasty.

Can they actually destroy the building, or is it only affected by the mining gun/interface commands ?

As far as I can tell the building is only affected by the build menu commands and presents excellent cover. You can see in that pic the litter of sentinel debris scattered around my gun deck and the ground below. I was having a grand time of it until the walker showed up. I didn't have enough firepower in my hand weapons to really hurt it efficiently and it would have been tough to make it into my ship. Party crasher.

If you went into the building, would it go away after a while?
