What kind of dystopian society does that game take place in?

@aimeeandbeatles

I genuinely think you're an artist. What you do with video games is honestly some of the most creative and refreshing stuff ever. Seems you don't just play the game, you always find something subversive to do while still staying inside the games own boundaries. Please keep posting about what you're doing, you'll always have an audience here :)

Looks like we have another fan ! :) Im not sure You'd like to know what happens with Aimee's fans .... :mischief:

We live in aimee's closet. One day we'll be naturalised Canadian citizens.

Having an acute can't finish games syndrome. GrimDawn leveling characters to level 20 in crucible , levelling becomes slow. Getting bored and building a new character to level 20 and so on . It's like early game in civilization. Once I reach midgame , I get bored and would go start a new game .

Grim Dawn leveling takes for-goddamn-ever when you get past about 50, it's annoying

The gaming norm that the pace of improvement of your character slows over time is one of those things that D&D introduced, way back in the day, and it's bugged me ever since. I don't think it's ever made me think "this game is better because it does this", and it seems to be taken as part of the design baseline from which other games depart.

Minutia, a world of little critters that's been invaded by evil Slugs. Slug leaders include Granny Slug, Commander Lug, Captain Slug, and General Slug. You hunt down and capture Bandit Slugs such as these who terrorize the minutians, and sometimes you also find a baby slug who you can raise in a nursery to be good.

Diablo2 LoD time , had energy to grind so many different builds to mid 90's , in single player too. No longer have the time or attention span of those days. Love complicated games, but don't have energy to finish them.

Had more time during the classical games, and had few such games to play as well. Now have too many games and too less time. Grinding fest is horrible mechanic , unless one plays a single game for years. Also I guess during that time, the number of character builds were limited. People get bored if they reach level 100 too soon. Recent Games like Grim Dawn, Path of Exile have so much diversity of builds that , having each build taking this much time to grind, is boring.

Terrorizing the minutians....by doing online quizzes and designing games.

I think the game I've spent the most time grinding in is Pokemon though lol
Pokemon Blue and FFVII for me.

In Blue, I had a team of 6 level-100 pokemon that took forever to level up. And FFVII simply requires an insane amount of grinding to finish the game. Like, a very un-fun level of grinding, so much so that I've been put off ever trying one of the remastered editions and am only meh on the upcoming remake.

In Pokemon Yellow I got my Pikachu up to level 72!

I've always said that D&D is to RPGs what Windows is to OS.
Not particularly good but everyones familiar with it and it has the widest range of products available for it.

I did another runthru of Gabriel Knight 2 (Beast Within), fantastic adventure.
If you like mystery story telling and games where it can be felt how much effort was put into them, you should not pass on this gem.
Even if it's old, but gold.
