What Video Games have you been playing II: Have you finished that backlog?

I'm slowly playing through The Longest Journey. I Kickstarted Dreamfall: Chapters, but don't want to play it before 1) I have played the old games through, or failing that seen a playthrough on youtube, preferably the first, and 2) more chapters have been released.

Still doing regimenting in Mount and Blade: Warband Napoleonic.

With college, I haven't really had time to put into new games, though I still got a bit into some games I got on Steam's Fall sale. Got Medal of Honor, kind of short single player for my taste. Only four hours was disappointing. Along with that, I've mainly played Insurgency and Assassin's Creed I. Kind of a lot of quests to do the same thing, so while interesting, sort of meh...

So, I bought Ultimate General: Gettysburg yesterday.
I like how the easy AI isn't "hur dur what's tactics", but actually has a game plan
I got that back when it first came out. I haven't played it in a while (since October), but the morale system was awful then. Even after delivering a proper whipping with an entire brigade that totally routes the enemy, at least one of my regiments would immediately lose morale and retreat. AFTER WINNING THE SKIRMISH. It really, really frustrated me.

Finished The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. It was really good, a must have for anyone who grew up with A Link to the Past, as I did.

Behold my Inquisitor. You may now kiss her pinky ring.

Do you actually do much inquisitor-ing in Dragon Age: Inquisitor? I'm a huge fan of the inquisitor "genre" as it were but most games tend to do it poorly.

So I managed to find where Glarthir's corpse ended up.

:shifty:

I dunno, man, something not right.

I've sat in judgement over one person so far, if that is what you mean by "inquisitor-ing" but it's not really the point of the game. At all. Don't get too wrapped up in that title. It really should have been called...

Dragon Age: Oh my friggin' God, the poopie has hit the fan now! Curse those bloody templars and mages! Oh well, looks like we'll need an organization to try to keep the world from falling into the abyss!

But Dragon Age: Inquisition is shorter. I mostly go around peppering bad people and demons with arrows. Also, I didn't know there was an inquisition genre.

I feel like I burnt out on Fallout New Vegas. I think I should take a healthy break consisting of finally finishing Dragon Age Origins (without yelling death threats at whoever designed Brecillian Forest) and The Old Republic.

Play other Fallout games then.

Well, Mel Brooks taught me that "Inquisitor-ing" appears to involve singing, dancing and playing music on the knees of elderly Jewish gentlemen. And DA:I does feature the first two of those things, so...

I'm playing Far Cry 3 right now. It seems like a good choice if you liked Fallout 3.

Ha, I'm also replaying FC3 on my Xbox. Enough stealth, I'm just going to shoot every enemy I see.

Also, since I got a blank check to use my lab computer for games, I'll go through my backlog faster. First one up that required a better computer is Dishonored.

Since Suikoden 2 was FINALLY released on PSN, I'm going a full playthrough of the Suikoden series now. Managed to get through most of the first game this weekend, luckily it's pretty short, all the better to getting to the fantastic second game as quickly as possible.

You do get an XP bonus for clearing a base without setting off any alarms. I use a muffled MP5 and sniper rifle, but I also keep an LMG for when my clever plan falls apart.

Dishonored is also on my "for when I upgrade my machine" list.

I know, but for this playthrough I'm going loud and killing anybody in my way. I'm done sneaking around like a panther, it's time to charge in like an elephant. Besides, the main missions award so much XP anyway, and I'm going to have all the loud guns to compensate for lack of skills.

But unlike Leroy I have a huge-ass machine gun instead of chicken.
