In this case, the chicken certainly came first!

Playing a bit of FIFA 18 these days. I don't tend to like sport games, but there is some fun role-playing an ascending star with the career mode. Guess the World Cup did its work too here.

Is 4K VR a thing yet?

Anyway here's to another thread of people talking about obscure PC strategy games I know next to nothing about.

Stellaris, an obscure PC strategy game. Nobody plays it.

It became Paradox Development Studio's fastest selling game. On 21 June 2016, it was announced that the game had sold over 500,000 units. As of February 2018, Stellaris had sold over 1.4 million copies on Steam.

I've been betrayed, the emoji selector in Chrome doesn't work on Xenforo!

:thinking-emoji:

You know something about Age of Empires 2... admit it.

About 4K VR...See Rule 34
Isn't that a board game??

4K VR porn is too many Ks.

All Paradox games are obscure to me. I once tried to learn a Europa Universalis game, it was awful, and I'm told those are the easy ones.

Ehhhhhhh. No. I'd say CK2 is the easiest. While it has an insane amount of content, it's a lot easier to do well in and to understand. It used to be even easier but then they made "improvements" via patches.

EU4 has a lot of timing issues and even after like six years I still have no idea how trade works.

Still playing Hearts of Iron IV. I started playing the 1939 scenario, things have gone well and I'm about to invade the USSR (summer of 1942) when I get home from work today.

Well, sort of. The Pimax 8k (which is indeed 4k) is about to be released.

Porn in VR is unbelievable the first time but wears out quickly. The only thing i keep using VR in a regular basis is for racing simulation, which makes not sense to play in a monitor anymore.

How do your children cope with the stone knives and bearskins in your house?! :p

It's coming to console soon, so you won't need to feel too bad soon. :)
Interesting!

Oh my! I think the PSVR is 1k or thereabouts. 2x4k would be omg. That's one thing I like about VR, it has kinda reset the tech race so to speak.

They eat the lobsters that I crack open for them with the stone knives, while sitting on the bearskins playing on their Kindles :p

The Xbox is mostly my wife's toy and she doesn't know any better... so don't tell her or my Xmas budget is blown... I wanna new laptop dammit!;)

They're actually showing some screenshots of the console version and it looks legit. Personally I have no idea why they are doing it as it seems like the kind of people who buy console versions of strategy games are not the kind of people who want to play Paradox games in the first place, but they must calculate it will be a money maker. Perhaps their fans have disposable income enough to buy the game on console even if they already have it on PC?

I might have gotten addicted to a platformer. Glob help me.
