Not good, and that is primarily due to Italy forming in 1848, which simply sucks. But also since they somehow managed to get out without a scar in a crisis war against Russia and France (Austria was on their side). I have to reload the game to see how that happened (maybe France was being France and had parked half its army in Algiers, so got overrun).
They also ruined two wars of mine against the ottoman empire, since in the two latest (of three in total, up to now) wars with OE I was alone (no allied side). And greedy Italy was both times trying to sneak into the war (a great power can intervene on the side of any country it has friendly relations with). So they did cost me (couldn't wait more in the war to gain sufficient score), in the first war Eastern Rumelia (later on rebelled as Bulgaria) and in the second Albania ( :p ).

Only other territory I own is part of Congo, which sadly will more than likely be taken away through an event (to give it to Belgium). I will have to release Syria too, to lose some infamy. Syria currently only produces grain, so I don't care. But Congo gives me all of my wood supplies, which will wreck me to lose (so by that time I will have to annex former Fyrom :) and likely some other african territory which produces wood).

Why does only Italy get called a "Kingdom" when there are plenty of other kingdoms on your map?

It's a waiting game. You hold down your trigger until the bar fills up, then release. That casts the reel out far enough. And then you wait until the reel starts to shake (it'll also make a sound). Click when that sound/shaking is still happening and it'll open the minigame.

It can be fairly frustrating at the very beginning when you're stuck with the worst rod and the lowest skill, but it gets easier quickly.

Last night I tried clicking on my character the SECOND the little exclamation point came up, and that worked. I caught one little fish. Haven't gotten another one but will keep trying. I see from callmekevin's videos (his five years without leaving the farm series) that fishing can actually get ore and such..

Finally bought some chickens for the coop I've had for like four weeks. Between watering plants and dispensing gifts in town, I never could make it to her ranch before closing..

I completely forgot I have Red Dead Redemption 2 because it's buried in a Rockstar account and not on a real launcher that people enjoy and use. I think I might finally check that out sometime soon since I have a PC now that can run it. Based purely on @Lexicus's testimony and recommendation.

The Long Dark: Tales From the Far Territory

Stalker, Day 220. Blackrock Penitentiary. Well, I went up the mountain. First, up to the bridge, then up to the mine. Got into it with some timberwolves and found an empty bunker along the way. I got to the gas-filled corridor at the bottom of the mine, and I thought about being a [kitten] and loading up a Voyager run just to test it. But then I decided, "f it. If it's my time, it's my time" and dove in.
Spoiler :
I made it. Turns out there is a reason to go in there, after all.

The Long Dark: Tales From the Far Territory

Stalker, Day 221. Blackrock Penitentiary. Y'know, I think I underestimated the prison as a place to live for a while. The workshop here is a way more convenient spot to work on my Gunsmithing skill than Bleak Inlet would be. The only drawback is that none of the beds are easily accessible. I end up sleeping in the pickup truck or using my bedroll. When they get to "safehouse customization", I wonder if that'll let you either bust open that locked door to the infirmary*, or to drag a bed from one place to another. When I came back from my expedition up the mountain, I found the two wolves in the area just outside the fence had respawned, but neither of the wolves inside had. The ones inside the fence either respawn more slowly, or perhaps not at all. Of course you have to go outside the fence to reach the infirmary, so I'd still have to get past the two wolves out there to get to the nearest bed. I forgot that I hadn't searched the guards' quarters before leaving. I found a skillet and some oats in the kitchen. And a single potato. I'll save that for a special occasion, I guess. Some butter or sour cream would be nice. At least I have salt.

* I have a hacksaw, a prybar, a forge hammer, oil, fire, and all the time in the world. How is it I can't get that friggin' door open? [Crap], I've even got low-yield explosives now. I guess if it's barred from the inside, that'd be tricky.

Finished my first year in Stardew Valley, and I'm pleased with my progress: I have two furnaces, seven preserving bins, a chicken coop, a bee house, and two trees with sappers. I used the winter to re-plan the fields using improved sprinklers, so now most of the watering will be done on automatic. (I have a couple of plots I still will do by hand, including the one I reserved for 'mixed seeds'). I discovered that the cave near my house spawns fruit for some reason -- I found this in fall and wondered if it was a bear stockpiling food, but have robbed it every other day since with no repercussions. That's the reason I have so many preserving bins: between that cave and fall blackberries I had a glut of food to take care of. Also in the winter, I experimented more with fishing, and explored the caves. I've made it to level 95 down there and only died once -- when I was mobbed by slimes, a ghost, a bat, AND a black shadowy thing. Definitely enjoying.

Diablo 4 is pretty good now that the lag and rubber-banding has gone down.

Turning off cross-platform play helps.

Season 1 coming up is a bit controversial on how much a fresh character has to redo.

Lols. I felt the same way about the airport hangar. I always seem to feel that way about a new base... once I get familiar with it I like it alot better than I initially did.

Sleeping in a bed gives a little better(faster) condition restoration than sleeping in a bedroll. I don't know if sleeping in a car counts as sleeping in a bed, but I'm pretty sure it does not count as sleeping in your bedroll, so I am unsure if cars give equal or less benefit than beds.

Total War: Three Kingdoms

So when my laptop's DC outlet was broken I found a shop that still does soldering and they replaced the outlet for me. While it was in the shop (about a week) I fired up my prior laptop and used it to play Three Kingdoms (after having to remove a swollen battery that I was unaware of... so I guess it was lucky that the other one broke because otherwise I wouldn't have noticed, and it might have caught fire or worse). I had to do an update to the game and I immediately noticed that they've added a challenge mode where you can use the "General" characters as DOTA/MOBA style hero characters against hordes of regular soldiers. It was a nice addition and really fun.

My only concern was the wolf that's inside the prison yard when you first arrive. If he respawns, then the prison isn't safe (because the gate there can't be shut). But the two wolves out in the wooded area have respawned and the one inside the yard hasn't, so maybe that one wolf never respawns once you deal with him the first time. The lack of a bed might also be more annoying long term, and of course the workshop is only useful if you're making ammo or working your Gunsmithing skill. Once you're done with that, I think a lot of other spots would be better places to settle down and pass some time. I think I'm about finished exploring this map, so I'm probably going to head back to Timberwolf Mountain once I've got my Gunsmithing to level 5. I know there's at least one hidden cache, but I don't feel like dealing with timberwolves during the Aurora.

Just fyi, there's currently a bug, where if you sleep in a car during a blizzard (or, by some accounts, in any outdoor location, even one that's protected from the elements), your outer layer of clothing will get soaked and then frozen. In my case, it happened while I was sleeping in the truck across the road from the Jailer's Residence; not only was I in a protected location, I had a fire burning in the barrel beside the truck all night. So the temp inside the truck never dropped below freezing. The devs have acknowledged that this is a bug and they're working on it.

I then found that my clothing wouldn't thaw and dry while I was wearing it, regardless of how long I stood beside a fire. I had to take the clothes off and set them on the ground beside the fire to dry them out. Some people think this is a deliberate change, that you're supposed to have to remove your clothes to dry them out. I wouldn't be averse to this change, actually. It's a little more realistic, and might encourage/reward keeping spare clothes around.

Been playing RDR2 a little more. Unlocked the fence and tripled my money right then and there from selling accumulated loot. Found a couple of different gang hideouts. Encountered the Klan and blew them away after shooting the leader in the face with a bow.

Been playing walking dead with Wifey. There's part of the game where we should decide to either kill or save someone, when I choose to save him, this guy got killed anyway, from that moment on I understand there's no branching story in this game it's all just illusion, and I haven't search or read anything about this game I don't want to spoil myself, but my Wife being a non-gamer until she met me really take this game quite seriously like she think the decision that we make really has an impact and change the course of the game, and I don't want to spoil her fun on that, we've been liking the game quite much.

Got the urge to play some more Factorio and, presumably because I'm utterly crazy, loaded up the full pYanodon's modpack. I tried it a couple of years back but I was probably a bit burned out of Factorio at the time and didn't get too far. But the mod's had some interesting looking updates since then (particularly the Alternative Energy part), and I've not got much else I'm interested in playing so I'm giving it another go. After about 10 hours, I've just managed to fully automate the first science pack - I was making science before that, but it was at least partly hand fed. And it's a hell of a lot of fun, both in terms of figuring out how to set up all the new production builds (and particularly dealing with the byproducts), but also the weird tricks you have to do to get a functioning base without splitters - they take circuits, which are probably at least another 10 hours of play away....
