What would you change? The worst ending thread.

I did, but on TV, so it had all the endings, one after another. At the time, I wasn't aware why it wasn't called Cluedo.
It's called "Clue" in North America.

It's one of the games my dad and grandmother and I would play on a Sunday afternoon. My grandmother always got upset when Professor Plum turned out to be the guilty one. I had the edition of the game with photos of the characters instead of cartoon drawings, she thought he was good-looking, so it bothered her when he was the murderer. :crazyeye:

There's some fanfiction based on the movie at fanfiction.net. Some of it's pretty decent.

You're overlooking the difference between plot and story.

Sorry don't have time to watch this right now. Tl;dr?

Most movies don't have 15 endings. The book version only had 1 ending as well. The way the movie kept ending and then "nope not over yet!" and starting up again got so comical I almost started laughing when I was first sitting through that

The book arguably had more endings. In addition to the victory at Pelennor, then the destruction of the ring, and the coronation/wedding, and the sailing off for the West, there was the Scouring of the Shire.

I felt that way about The Postman. First there was the end of the story then the statue being unveiled then the flashback to the little boy. Why have just one ending when you can have three? (2 of them unnecessary and subtracting from the movie rather than adding to it).

They didn't all feel like endings in the book, but that's how they filmed it and made it look and feel. That's what I have issue with. In the book the story flowed and then finished. On film they made it feel like the movie is ending like 20 times

What are the other endings in The Postman the movie? I only remember then unveiling a statue.

Before the statue was unveiled we have a happy scene between Costner and his gal, the story was resolved, would have done fine as an ending.
After the statue was unveiled a man says I remember him and we have a flashback to his childhood memory of the postman. These two scenes added nothing to the movie IMO, just self-indulgent schmaltz on the part of Costner.

I don't agree with this at all. These scenes are treated like endings in the movie, but not in the book.

Definitely not treated like that in the books. They flowed like a natural progression.

Hitch. This should have been the best romantic comedy ever. :hug:But the movie makers thought it would be a hoot if they morphed suave Will Smith who's been teaching us "first principles" to suddenly turn into a mumbling idiot. :hammer2:

Yeah, they could have toned that down considerably and still had a good ending.
At least the wedding scene was good.

The real ending is imo fine, the resolution of the plot, just that last scene where they split up makes me so sad :(

The flower Samurai right? Yea I agree, after that the author think like "then what? They dont have any reason to be together anymore so why not break the audience heart by having them walk in three seperate direction?"

Thats the thing that you are not satisfied isn't it? Same me too, at least put a good closure with some OVA or something.

Btw please watch Bebop Lexicus

the way I see it: the friendship between them is beautiful, the whole show is very comforting, but in the end their friendship is based in their journey together, and when the journey ends so does their togetherness. they all wanted to go down a different path, I feel. for me it was very much a coming of age story like so many anime.
