What's the Heaviest Treasure Fleet You've Had?

I have a city currently sending treasure fleets worth 2 points each. But this city has SIX resources in its range (3 Cocoa, 2 Sugar, 1 Gold). Once it has fully expanded, its treasure fleets should provide 6 points each.

It's interesting keeping the wolves at bay. I prevented one rival from bringing my resources into their borders by "growing" my city to strategic tiles (even though this delayed putting plantations on key resources). A different rival actually took one of the cocoas, so I had to raze their city to keep it available for me to eventually reach it. But I am determined to see a 6-point treasure fleet. I wonder if there is an achievement for that??

At any rate, what's the "heaviest" treasure fleet you've seen (most points)?

The biggest haul I've had was 6 points. And it was on a moderately sized island just west of my main cities. It worked out beautifully.

Only 4 for me. Also, I don’t think gold is a treasure resource?
It is when it is on Distant Land, as for Silver.
Which lead to have two distinct icons for them in Modern age in the Empire Resources list, even if they now do the exact same thing...
[Edit] Well, not 2 distincts, but each twice

5 is my highest so far. Got a 4-pointer and a 1-pointer both within a single turn's trip to homelands as Songhai last game, though (and also of course had Songhai's homeland-spawning fleets) so that was a very quick Exploration Econ win. (Which I then screwed up by taking the Treasure Fleets Golden Age, which usually works out for me but sometimes throws off my numbers going into Modern so badly as to almost be an insta-fail. First time this happened was going from Abbasid into Mughals, where keeping my cities (i.e. almost all of my settlements at that point) took me from around +500 gold or more per turn to -71 (as the Mughals, even!) This time my GPT going from Songhai to Buganda dropped from around +850 to +45. So, not negative, but not good, and definitely not good enough to quickly deal with my massive happiness swing into the negatives.

This comment got away from me. But I'm definitely aiming for 6 now.

I think I had one that was worth 7. Now, I think it should have only been worth 5, there were some pillaged and reconnected tiles that I feel counted twice. The city was not founded by me, that was a very easy decision to start a war over. Although in that game I did discover that Fleet Commanders are essential for treasure recovery. Pack in the treasure resource, and the faster commander could shuttle it safely across the ocean.

My best has been 7.

In my last games I had extremely bad luck with those resources. Just finished the game, where I had 5 settlements in distant lands with just 1 resource each (and one without resources just to fill space and get military path). There were no better places.

I tried for my first Economic Victory last night and the Exploration Age was an unmitigated disaster. I wound up spawning 12 Treasure Fleets and turned them in for a grand total of 12 points. Somehow each and every one got me a mere 1 point apiece. I wonder if there was something I did wrong, or if this my just horrendously bad RNG luck..

Did you play Songhai? They have an ability to spawn 1-point treasure fleet in homeland cities with navigable river.

No, I went with Chola

I was working on a 5'r, but Isabella settled close to my city. I had to burn it down. By the time I got my 5 resources hooked up the age was ending anyways. But I was determined anyways. I was t'd the AI messed up my 5 treasure fleet point city.

In this case I would have razed the city state and settle two row down between the two cocoa, to get the added sugar.

What do you want, not my fault if independant powers settle in a clumsy way, right?
I've considered that, be at that time I wanted to befriend a Military IP and it was the only one I knew of, + it would have needed a lot more population to get them all 5.

You would have needed 6 rural tiles. I count 2 buildings to get to the top chocolate (one temple, one granary, no need to be efficient and fill the quarters since it won't ever be used as a city). With the quai next to the city, you would need only one fishing boat to reach the sugar.

Even better, with the three buildings (rather cheap) and fishing boat all five ressources will be in your territory, so no opponent can snatch them by settling in one of the small islands.

After that it is kind of awkward to raze IP early, since only your commander can cross, and they will need a few turns to heal before attacking. And early boats have only a range of 1 (and it will not explore during that time)...
