Indeed. It immediately set my mind to mentally playing a particularly ominous sounding song.
TIL Warpus is Deep Purple!
Disclaimer: The song really isn't about politics. At all.
But this is just the effect of continually asking "Why?". Very small children know how to do this perfectly.
All it means is that there's no ultimate reason for anything. We simply don't the why of it. Any of it.
And in the face of this kind of ignorance, what choice do we have? And we do have a choice to make, I think.
mumble, mumble, cryptofascists, mumble...
Hmm. Yeah. I think you're right. The alternative is that they're actively choosing to do whatever it is they're doing. Which, if they don't actually enjoy it, is hard to accept.
If they could actually enjoy it, the difficulty would disappear. Not easy, though.
People automatically paint themselves as the object of some form of external force that is 'making' them do whatever it is they are doing. It's as automatic as breathing.
My lungs keep making me breathe.
The usual M.O. is to come for you in the night so I'll probably be in bed when they come.
Hard for them to accept.
Once again, consider that the opposite of oppression is responsibility. People automatically opt for 'I am oppressed' because it's less unpleasant than 'I am responsible'. It doesn't mean that they actually are oppressed. As I said 'Because I like to buy stuff' is just as accurate an answer as 'Because I have to pay my bills'...but it involves taking responsibility in the matter of why they are going to work.
And for some reasons unknown, both of them have paranoia about someone oppressing them. It's quite curious why so many people have this delusion.
All I know is that jerks in the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation will be the first ones up against the wall when the revolution comes.
What did I just read?
Is this a troll or a copypasta or both?
Dunno. Could be both, neither, or either. I don't have a clue either.
What are you on about? Can you elucidate?
I'm on about something?
