If you are saying which came first, the chicken, or the chicken egg, then it's still the egg, because the chicken egg was laid by something not a chicken, and the egg mutated.

why would the egg mutate?

mutational likelihood is an evolutionary product of DNA replication, it exists because it produces more viable offspring comparitively quickly, it also gets two headed chickens, but overall the good mutations win over the bad, viability wise. Except in the case of humans where it screwed up when it gave us opposable thumbs and a taste for the ground over the trees.

The Proto chicken mutated it gave birth to a mutated offspring, it was more evolutionarily viable, this super proto chicken gave birth to more evolutionarily viable mutations over time and eventually, something that was a virtual chicken produced an embryo that was a true chicken that was not an egg, untill bam covered in calcium and fired out its arse, whoop bam bang bing, we have a chicken before the egg. The first true born chickens are Gods they succeed over the somewhat more mortal chikcens, hail chickens the master chicken race is here.

Right stop this, this is just silly, it's a metaphore, chicken and egg, it's a wheel within a wheel question, with no sensible answer in science. I'm watching you people. No more silliness.
