Eh, Christie is that rather fat and hugely corrupt governor of NJ? How would he win anyway?
He was the man in 2012... That was his time... He was basically 2012's Donald Trump, but he didn't run, and ended up giving Prez Obama a favorable photo op during Hurricane Sandy... which the Republican voters have never forgiven him for. "Bridgegate" came after all that...

Hm. Not judging by anything i have ever seen written here about your elections..

It'd be great if it was true, though. For all countries. Soundbyte 'debates' are really a scam.

But just like everything else, they balance out. And elections are basically the same everywhere. People vote based on the information they have. People who appear to choose based on soundbites generally just can't explain what they are actually basing their choices on. They have taken in a tremendous amount of information; in soundbites, odd snatches of conversation with coworkers, maybe the occasional "in depth analysis" from a source they choose to trust, a lifetime of exposure to varying political ideologies. Out of this morass pops "their vote." When asked why they voted the way they did, they pop off a soundbite because no one is really interested in their slog through the morass anyway.

"Morass", i suppose a neologism for moral compass? (hm, no, it seems this is an actual word, i thought it was infotainment heights neology :D )

While I am certainly not above making up words, I usually don't.

I'm on the inside.

Er... well sometimes I'm on the outside.

Tbh, I don't know which side I'm on. So, let's say I'm on the fence. And a mightily uncomfortable picket fence it is, too.

When I was in college, morass is what everyone wanted. ;)

I tend to think of you as being mostly on the upside.

Coulter is right when she says Republicans don't care about [x], but is wrong that it's "always" been immigrants. It's "always" a something, and that something is always the out-group. Immigrants are an easy-outgroup. Mair saying blah blah freedonomics and misses the point. Republicans don't care about free markets. They care that the out-group ain't getting their stuff.

:cringe:The truth hurts sometimes...

Ann Coulter is well tuned to the Republican base... possibly better than any of her fellow Republican pundits, including Rush...

.. and she took a stab at Haley right after the response last night:

Trump should deport Nikki Haley.

Cue more of the same infighting over the next couple of weeks.

Trump should make Ann Coulter his running mate. She has the exact same penchant for trolling... and she is as good if not better than he is.

Ann knows that Nikki Haley is an easy target because she is estasblishment... even easier because she (like Christie) is seen to have pandered to the left.

This picture is far more damaging to his case.

America won't vote for a Cowboys fan.

I always think it's amusing for Salon to pretend to understand conservatives. They have enough trouble understanding liberals.
