Which topic do you consider as more taboo?

Child rape. Seems to be the only topic which cannot be mentioned anywhere, in any context, without striking a nerve. And if you even think about it, you are a perverted affront to humanity.

Child abuse, particularly sexual abuse of children, and animal cruelty.

Law & Order: SVU is freaking disturbing. That is not material for entertainment.

Th efunniest thing, I was watching the history of Sex, and they talked about the greek practice of an old man taking in a young boy and molesting him. How parents would send their children to the elders fo rthis practice, and how un-taboo homosexuality was.

It really got me thinking.

I saw about 2 minutes of this, and was disgusted. It was like the movie, "Devils Rejects", but with the pretension of being good, (as opposed to evil).

I would never engage in animal cruelty, and I would kill someone with my bare hands if I caught them in the act.

SVU was especially hard to watch, because so many of the actors were first introduced to me in the HBO show Oz. They were very evil people in that show.

Nothing seems taboo to me. At least for now.

Im either very liberal or that I cannot care enough.

I think its the later.

Rape or child abuse/molestation is something that I prefer not to think about. There's a show Law & Order SVU that I prefer not to watch for that reason - I don't consider it entertaining to contemplate even as part of a fictitious story.

Very little else, though.

I'll go with these comments and raise ya corpse mutilation, live beheadings/disembowlment.

I love Law & order svu :) I watch it all the time. I do not see anything taboo about it though, it is a good police series.

I don't understand why anyone would choose to spend an hour engaging in a story about child rapists.

I spent a decade working in the face of it! I don't like the idea of a non-discussable topic, on principle, but don't like talking about sex in public especially not saying 'I/you/he's gay'

They didn't eat anything in that video. Just...pass it around... :ack:

I don't want to get any of you offended, but telling how I like to tie girls to bed, pour hot oils(aromatical) over their bodies, laugh at their faces and then go on with ice-cream... usually makes people yell at my face to shut up instantly. And I like my local BDSM club. Too bad some guys don't realise that they shouldn't ask about girl's sex life or they may get answer like that ^^

Dusters, that's more than a little perverse, and definitly breaks the 'no discussing your depravities' rule of society

It's not that it's non-discussable. It's "why would you use this topic as a basis for entertainment?" It's such an irredeemably horrible thing, I'm convinced that there's something psychologically wrong with people that find it entertaining even tangentially.

Also, I don't object to sex-talk in public at all, and whether somebody's queer isn't even sex-talk. :)

I change my mind, I consider talking about the Middle East Taboo out of fear of offending Czechs and Russians.
