Alt-hist question:
What would have happened had Uqbar coalesced into a more centralized kingdom rather than the loose tribal coalition it was? It'd be interesting to see their culture survive into the modern age.
PROVINCES are captured by attacking them; they provide 1$ income each
CITIES are captured by capturing the surrounding provinces and waiting there for 2 turns; all cities provide the same amount of $, which varies turn to turn (ranging from 2-6$)
COMBAT is being in the same province as enemies; resolved using sekrit formula; battles are decisive but stronger units may retreat if defeated
UNITS
Can move one province at a time; knights may move 2 friendly provinces, or move 1 friendly province and attack 1, or attack 1 and not move any more. ▪ Militia: 1$ (cheap & weak) ▪ Man at Arms: 3$ (offensive) ▪ Crossbowman: 3$ (defensive) ▪ Longbowman: 4$ (better offensive) ▪ Pikeman: 4$ (better defensive) ▪ Knight: 6$ (badass)
