Join and watch Thlayli mess up your starting point, but don't worry. You'll win in the end.

Edit: More like get the worst starting point ever. Jesus I hate Thlayli right now.

Very interesting - if I didn't require sleep at those hours, I would love to join you guys :)

sorry i left so quickly and couldn't get in on your game thayli- kid starting screaming and ice fell on our deck and knocked out the lights.

Alt-hist question:
What would have happened had Uqbar coalesced into a more centralized kingdom rather than the loose tribal coalition it was? It'd be interesting to see their culture survive into the modern age.

Edit: Damn wikipedians reverting their articles.

That looks very nice.

Who is Opriver? If I can retake Penzere I would very much like to negotiate a peace treaty there.

CHATNES V as modded by Thlayli

PROVINCES are captured by attacking them; they provide 1$ income each
CITIES are captured by capturing the surrounding provinces and waiting there for 2 turns; all cities provide the same amount of $, which varies turn to turn (ranging from 2-6$)
COMBAT is being in the same province as enemies; resolved using sekrit formula; battles are decisive but stronger units may retreat if defeated

UNITS
Can move one province at a time; knights may move 2 friendly provinces, or move 1 friendly province and attack 1, or attack 1 and not move any more.
▪ Militia: 1$ (cheap & weak)
▪ Man at Arms: 3$ (offensive)
▪ Crossbowman: 3$ (defensive)
▪ Longbowman: 4$ (better offensive)
▪ Pikeman: 4$ (better defensive)
▪ Knight: 6$ (badass)

CASTLES
Produce a number of temporary defensive units when attacked; the better the castle, the better the chances for an advanced defensive unit; may be upgraded
• Small Castle: 5$ (2-3 units)
■ Medium Castle:10$ (3-4 units)
■ Large Castle: 15$ (4-5 units)

SEA UNITS
??? You may not transport and attack at the same turn
▪ War Galley: 3$ (kills things)
▪ Transport: 2$ (transports)
