On a related note to the discussion about how to pronounce NES... do you call it "a" NES, or "an" NES?
An? I thought it's used only when the next word starts with vocal, or is pronounced like one?
I never thought I'd see a day during the course of which one would be able to note Luckymoose editing others' grammar.Vowel*

"An" is usually used when the word has a vowel sound at the beginning, not merely a vowel itself.
I wasn't necessarily being serious about any of those.![]()
Impossible, you suck upto Symp all the time. Why would a king suck up to anybody
From this thread.
I am not endorsing Luckymoose's kingship.
That said, all kings and all rulers must necessarily suck up to their people or they lose power. Kings and rulers, it can be said, have the least freedom because they must pander to the masses.
I do not commit to any of the above. I say this only for the sake of discussion.
Emu I swear. I do not suck up to Symphony. Besides sucking up generally gives the person in question a reason to spare you in a NES. Or listen to you.

No they merely have to maintain the illusion of such. The weaker kings let it become a reality the stronger ones use the illusion to their advantage.
This is what every good NESer does. I personally have seen it happen. Symphony does it sometimes.
Sorry Emu. Maybe if you had manners or otherwise compliment people you may be called a suck up sometime.
