While We Wait: Part 3

Also, what tileset is that? It doesn't look standard.

@Supermath, its a custom tileset I pieced together from various other ones. I have a windows edition of sc2000 with the 'SCURK' editor thing included.

I think I might have found religion. After years of trying the disk finally worked and I have installed Simcity 3000 Unlimited. It use to never get passed the autoplay music but this time was special. Holy cow. :)

It must be nice to have a working disk. Mine sort of died in the shredder when my little brother found out how much fun it is to put random **** there. Not that I am bitter.

When you found religion, was it Hinduism?

Did Ganesha remove the obstacles that prevented the installation, then? :p

yes, it does. Howver, why cant we ever come up with something totally unique?

I don't care that this is old. I shall respond to it nonetheless:

Ecclesiastes 1:9

And for those who doth not know;

Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Another reason this forum drags us down. I don't understand why we can't discuss the wrongful banning of people with others spam terribly.
It is bad karma and usually spins quickly to whining and complaining. You can have your discussion via pm it it is that important to you. Injustice is commmon everywhere, get used to it. :p

Flaws of a religious society aside, seeing Europe's rapid retreat in the face of Islamic culture leaves me preferring the Catholic Church over Wahabbi sects any day.

My booze drinking, bacon eating raised in europe from immigrant Islamic parents friend convinces me that undue alarm is being risen.

I have just realized that I, myself, thinks my NES is effecient enough to be run for a lot of updates. I enjoy modding severely more than practicing in NESes actually. It really surprised me how awesome it was to be a mod.

How was your first mod experiences fellows?

What is this Ecclesiastes? I know of מגילת קהלת, (Megilat Kohelet), but Ecclesiastes? Who comes up with these names that have nothing to do with the actual original name?

The books of the torah take their names from an important aspect of the first lines of the book.
Bereshit:Genesis makes sense.
Shmot:Exodus does not. Shmot means names. Exodus means leaving.
Vayikra:Leviticus doesnt really. Vayikra means 'and he called'. Leviticus means Law.
Bamidbar (in the desert) vs Numbers. ???
Dvarim (things) vs Deuteronomy (second).

SERIOUSLY, WHO COMES UP WITH THESE THINGS?

My booze drinking, bacon eating raised in europe from immigrant Islamic parents friend convinces me that undue alarm is being risen.

Same here. My area has a very large muslim population, and we have had ONE terror scare, with 11 people out of over 150,000 in toronto alone. People started freaking out, and guess what? NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. Most muslims are either religious or completely non-religious, no real middle ground, but the religious ones are generally non-extremist. I have met 3 extremist muslims ever, out of hundreds, but people are STILL freaking out.

Modding is great. Obsessiveness with details has sometimes dragged me down, but all in all it's a really good experience when you build something with quality.

Actually, on that note, February vacation is here, which means there's finally time for me to do the Excelsior BT...Bronze Age collapse, here we come! :mischief:
