Nk, how long have you been nesing for?
a few months longer than you
Nk, how long have you been nesing for?
Well, earlier in that NES my comment was a really timid greeting asking if I could join, with lots of 'Please's and 'If you don't mind's and 'Thank you's.And we want the rest of the people here to be nearly as good as well.
It is most advisable for every serious NESer to have at least a basic historical atlas close by. Encarta is also highly recommendable.
I think most of us have a lot to be embarrassed about with regards to our earliest NESing experience; I, for one, couldn't re-read my posts in the first NES without cringing.
I do enough social and athletic things to not feel like a nerd. I don't need MMORPG-related drugs. That is funny as NESing can be one of the most time consuming things on this planet.
Does anyone else ever feel like a nerd playing in games where we lead countries and do diplomacy rather than you know doing the things like WoW?
Yeah, you rebelled against me earlier (why do you always call the Greek rebels 'Byzantines'? It's irritating and repetitive). I mean that the Balkan pact which Thlayli organized openly went against all of the stipulations that they had agreed to upon receiving independence. No, you were killed by me and the FK amassing about 175 divisions between the two of us (IIRC; I had about 50 and Stormy had God-knows-how-many). No betrayals there, when he was already at war with you and I never joined no "Balkan Pact".
Back when I was a n00b, in Sheep's NES as Finland, I didn't do anything overly stupid (tried to deploy troops to Iraq, but ended up not doing so; then took over part of Norway and generally acted like an eager puppet of Germany's), but it didn't really last long enough to tell.
I though that I was still on your trust list.Actually I still make that same mistake. But I have run out of people to trust so it shouldn't happen again.

But when you were the sea peoples and I was Egypt, I trusted you....
Delightfully tangled! This is true, but one could say that I was trusting you as well. Suffice it to say that was a tangled situation.![]()
Delightfully tangled!
Lucky, you may do your dance and show about always being betrayed, but honestly you make your own bed. Take yourself out of the equation and tell me what you would honestly do if everything that happened to me happened to you. If you dare say that you wouldn't have made the same decision, then you're a damn liar.
Oh, it was. I just totally didn't see it coming. Now I'm much more paranoid. You were Sri Lanka, and I was... some kind of India or other. I think that was a legitimate war, though.![]()
I finally got my *legitimate commercial copy* of Civ4 working on my new PC, thanks to some h4x0ring. In yo face, SafeDisc!!!
I just wanted to share that. Your conversation may now continue. Thankyou.

No way! I bought civ4 original back in 2005. It installed OK on my new Vista PC , but wouldn't recognise the DVD when it came to running the actual game. Something to do with Safedisc copy protection not liking the DVD-RW drive, which is the only drive on that machine. Seems that there is NO technical support for this issue. Thus I needed a no-CD hack to play the game I paid for!
I was terrified of rejection, because I saw the NESers as a rather elite community.
I remember getting totally destroyed by NK in one of Jason's NESes. It wasn't exactly a betrayal, but it still hurt.
