While We Wait: Part 6

In other news: Maryland sucks about as much as it did last time I was there. But, on the plus side, I saw a dude in a Deuce McAllister jersey on the Metro, which was pretty unexpectedly awesome. Mutual exchanges of whodats turned into a shouting match with Skins fans, which is always good for epic lulz.

At least they were actual questions.

In other news, it should come to no surprise that splitting up the talent does not help you win games. See: 1836, Election of.

Oh, Lucky! The things that happen around you. Ah...

On a more serious note, how is the guy?

The one in the truck? He is fine apparently, I didn't stick around to see if he was under the influence of anything, cause the police told us to go on home cause the power lines were close to the ground.

Supermath: did you guys have ancient history questions at your tournament? If so, it was superior than the one I attended.

Come to think about it, no. But hey, I ended up with a copy of Pudd'nhead Wilson, so it's not all bad.

Twain is good.

There has been a recent proliferation of historically oriented avatars on this here subforum. It'd be cool if that were more widespread.

I like my avatar. It's nice. No need to change. You shouldn't follow the crowd.

I've intended to change for a while now. Will probably change again when I'm home (I realized when trying to change today that my otter avatar isn't on this computer).

Your refusal to follow the clear bellwethers of fashion (namely me and NK :p) shall make you an outcast! SHUN SHUN SHUN

Hmm, let's see. I started off with a Hoplite in 2005, then switched to a Zerg Defiler, then switched to a Canucks logo when Civ IV was released, then started using the Penguins- the only breaks for that have been once when I removed my avatar in mourning the loss of the Canucks in the 2007 playoffs, and once when I switched to a random Zerg creature shortly after the announcement of Starcraft II.

I have had the Hydrapenguin/Penguilisk for some time, however.

Haven't changed since one of Jason's NESes way back, and never regretted it, especially inasmuch as I haven't found anything I would rather have over this.

Same here, been using this for ages and see no reason to change.

I like Wrex, Morte and the Viking I used to have.

So you gonna buy all three starcraft2s? seems like a right kick in the teeth.

I took a trip into the realm of political avatars, earlier, but you can't beat steampunkt Lincoln.

I thinik I had this avatar since about 2006..... I had numerous ones before hand, a lot of them hammer and sickles.

Not sure- frankly, I just like the extraterrestrial hive-mind species archetype. I could make some Tyranid avatars to balance it out...
