That is great news about college. Avatars can now be 100x100 so there has been a rash of new ones. Do you plan on playing any or just lurking?

I plan on playing a few NESes. I'm looking at yours and EQs right now. Open Question: Are there any other good ones I should look at/look out for? I haven't gotten to go down the thread list yet.

Which college?

Hamilton College. Its cozy feel, emphasis on writing and speaking(oh joy!), open curriculum and small classes were quite seductive. I turned down some money and a couple more prestigious colleges to attend.

As far as NESes go, NK's N3S is a fabulous one that is on hiatus until...just about now, or whenever NK finishes school for the summer.

And mine was an RPG NES too even though it was... boxy.

But anyways, if I'm going to host an RPG in the future (Note: Not Fantasy NES, but RPG), it will be a forum game. It isn't suitable for this forum imho. At least not after some consideration.

Didn't we used to have a "useful links" thread that had a lot of miscellaneous links dealing with history, economy, culture, rule sets and random number generators? You really don't need to know a lot of history to play in LINESII- it's also more realistic if people don't know the history from turn one- emu's rewritten his nation's official history at least three times now.

The victors write history and he's been victorious plenty times in that NES. Also realism? Iggy...we dropped realism the moment the steampunk army rolled out from the unexplored regions with turtle ambassadors.
