My computer has been getting worse and I've here:

The problem has yet to be fully indentified.

Though what does an education stat really do? It would be nice if iggy could go into more specifics

It's kind of a holistic stat, but it generally opens up more possibilities for inventiveness and intelligence, at first only among the elites, but later amongst the general populace as well. For example, a long time of poor education funding in New Veritas led to a partial collapse of democratic tradition and a degree of technological backwardness (noting that both of these were both rectified, to a degree).

I've never reformatted anything. I believe this is an irrational response, like sawing your head off to alleviate flu symptoms. You can manually delete things and reinstall if all else fails. Can any malware remain active without being linked to by windows registry etc? Then again, I don't browse dodgy pr0n and dont have any p2p so I don't really know these things

Reformatting takes about twice as long as installing an annoying antivirus and scanning my computer, plus it speeds up the computer the great deal by cleaning all the crunk out, so I'm fine with doing it.

It takes my PC 15 minutes to do a complete restore.

Reformatting is not a good option for me, but things are getting worse. Lots of srtrange happenings. I am backed up should I have a real disaster.

Aye that! Me and my mum got conned when I was little. "Your secondary drive was faulty too, we removed it". Yeah, removed it so he could sell it, as I later figured out. Years later sadly.

Personally I dont like reformatting because I have tons of custom stuff for all kinds of games and things. Although its all backed up somewhere and I'll probably never come back to it, I want to know its there on the PC I'm using, just in case. Like I have civ2 and unfinished custom scenarios from 1996-7 that I just have to have on my HD.
