I mean don't do feature bloat. Focus on the few things you definitely want to do, and then get the ball rolling - build upon that as you go and develop a feel for how to manage the NES, so you don't overextend yourself by implementing too much all at once.

Laser focus is the goal. Zoom in on some key ideas and expand from there.

Alright, will totally do that. In fact, good thing you pointed that out, because my current draft of the ruleset can be cut back significantly now that I think on it. Granted, it will be a bit longer before the ball gets rolling. I'm redoing the map from scratch because I'm not 100% behind what I currently have...

Well, presumably the real intercontinental warfare will start up once each continent has gotten its affairs in order. Kraz and Dachs have managed to pull that off first, though CD, lj and I are doing our darnedest to clear out the remaining squatters on our own continent.
