While We Wait: Writer's Block & Other Lame Excuses

You clearly want both sides to have people in charge. I do not. I am entitled to accommodation based on being highly active and in no position of power. The thing is, Symphony, you're only going to prevent mending by holding on to your old order. The schism was caused by that old order. They need to be purged from power.
I honestly don't know what screwball alternate reality you're posting from but I just got done saying I'm fine with nobody from either side having authority. I guess if I had to fully articulate my position it's that either both sides are represented or neither is. I don't care which.

Feel free to keep spinning your wheels though.

Be clear on what you want. You haven't been. Regardless, none of this matters in the end. When Kraz or Dachs wake from their slumber they'll bring #nes back under their authority once more, strip you of your hops and everything will go back to Mass Effect and sports.

I'll stay in #neverending. If anyone wants to be part of a good chatroom for the forum, go there. Everyone is welcome, so long as you don't join with the intent to troll.

#WWW. No Ops. No Hops. No Founders. No Nothing. Just an extension of ye good ol' WWW. /ignore shall be the personal policing method.

EDIT: I am not promoting this OVER #neverending or #nes, but until this gets resolved (or at least the uncertainty ends) I will camp at #www and #neverending, and those who can't handle Luckymoose are welcome at #www where there are no authority figures in sight, whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure this is you not reading since I've also already stated that I no longer have HOps.

Yes, I did not promise you would go untrolled by people already there.
Behold the abuses of the supposed utopia.

This isn't actually practical. Whoever first enters into a chatroom is automatically Op'd, and not having it registered leads to easy abuse. For the sake of logistics, libertarianism, rather than anarchy, is required.

Nope!

On the subject of pathology: you were boring. You were punished. Now you're engaging. Mission accomplished.

But honestly if you can't see that losing certain key conversation generators like Dachs caused a precipitous decline in activity and a domino effect that lead to many other users (e.g., Bill, Owen, wry, etc.) going silent and idling in a downward spiral negative feedback loop then I'm afraid you underestimated the fragility of the social ecosystem in a divided community which most members never endorsed or cared for in the first place and that means you are part of the problem, and not the solution.

You are the Reapers.

Precipitous spiral effect, oh no! I guess people being less active for a relatively short period of time is the death knell of the chatroom! Time to flip out!

Why don't you just fully graduate to denying climate change? It'd be more entertaining.

I don't think any of us can or should deny that a month of decreased activity on an Internet chatroom means nobody will ever use it again and so it should be locked because of reasons.

The only reason I'm not on #nes more is because I find it uninteresting. When I do post I tend to be ridiculed, and when I read posts they tend to not be about NESing or anything I am interested in.

I think I did have a good 12 line convro last week, but both of us lost interest.

It's back up and was down for less than 24 hours. You'd think I'd murdered Till and blown up his server, Jesus F'in Christ.

Desperate times and measures etc.

Anyway, we should just have someone who never goes on be the op, so that there is practically no OP.

I volunteer. :p

But he lets JoanK and I go on the chat, so that logic is invalid :p

There is no logic to begin with since nobody was banned from #nes. >_>
