Jehoshua would play that in a heartbeat :p.

Sillines MUST reach update 100 first, but I can still brainstorm, eh?

INES-style, this will NOT be super serious, just enough to maintain atmosphere. So a bit more serious than TerraNES near the end, but less than update 6-12 TerraNES.

Space travel and interplanetary travel will be common for nobles, but over all rare and exceedingly expensive.

Families will be the key agents of power. Non family members generally will be on a continuum of loyalty to effectiveness. Even family members will have their own differences.

Far be it from me to burden your project with unneeded SRS BSNS, however, I think it would be more reasonable to expect that space travel itself would be relatively inexpensive. Space travel on a massive scale will only ever be undertaken in circumstances in which it is essentially practical, in expensive, in relative terms. What might be more reasonable to say is that the resources necessary for interstellar or extra-planetary travel are consolidated in the hands of the noble houses and merchant guilds and are not generally available to the public.

On another hand, running with with space opera rules aka Star Wars is also appealling.

Edit: In the end the level of srsbsns is determined more by the player than the moderator. Still, it affects how seriously I take it and how seriously I handle the updates :p.

Sorry Thomas, i can't do that.
I WILL run them one day (Sequel to Emperor of Fading Heavens -or whatever it was i called it)

They are only about 2 months old also- which means that i've been thinking about this - ruminating slowly.

EDIT: I am willing to TALK to you about them though... and plumb you for ideas.

Yeah- thats one thing i would be interested in, whats an interesting planet idea....? (I think symph made a good point about monobiome planets being boring) Should be physically and ecologically plausible and have something interesting and otherworldly to it. Should also be earth-like (breathable- or almost breathable environment, certain areas should be habitable without too great of technological support, etc)

No worries! I'll certainly be interested in Joining it, as well as discussing things.

Also, I got a job as Lead Writer for a startup video-game company. :D

Awesome. Congrats.

Pretty awesome, thomas, hope to see some great work from you. :)

Immaculate: Perhaps, an interesting thing (if you could manage it, obviously) is that you could have two separate habitable planets in close proximity to each other. Binary habitable planets might be stretching it, but two habitable moons of a larger planet in a star's habitable zone would also work.
Alternatively, a planet around a flare star would be interesting; the periodic increase of the parent star's luminosity could screw around with the planet's environment and make things interesting.
