That's a disadvantage, sure, but its hardly what Stormbringer was facing in NES VIb, for example.
He wasn't quite as bad off as you'd think, considering for quite awhile he had half-off prices for all his military units; effectively doubling his EP reserves during wartime. That continued to be in effect until 1787.

Size stat?
Didn't have any impact on troops, only on domestic stats. Wasn't a limiting factor. He also had a project that enabled him to create some ridiculous number of Elite Conscripts, at least 100 Divisions worth, IIRC.

He was outnumbered in terms of economic capability but his odds weren't too bad if he could secure a quick victory; it was in a war of attrition that he would have been (and was) definitively beaten. It was still a pretty close run thing though, in the West anyway.

So really, 4EP difference is nothing; which is the point I was trying to get across.

This is nonsense; from the perspective of the one fighting the majority of the Western front, while my troops certainly seemed close to the breaking point, his seemed to be as well. It was rather like World War One; while he made a few gallant last offensives, he was destroyed economically.

He deployed most of his advantages too late. As I said, a quick victory was within his grasp. If he had thrown everything he had from turn one while we were still off-balance and thinking he was going to attack in a turn or two, instead of that turn, he could've done tremendous damage and possibly sued for peace early.

To use your WWI analogy, he could have been a position similar to what would have happened had the Schlieffen Plan worked (for all its problems logistical and technical).

He was mixing long-term goals and short-term ones (for example, Oborona was an unnecessary diversion of resources for aircraft when it could have netted him 80 Divisions instead). If he had focused entirely on the short-term I do not find it that unlikely that he could have put himself in a favorable position. Whether he could of or not is a subject for debate, but with someone of his skills, and for as much trouble as he gave all involved as he did, I do not put it beyond him.

It's an academic matter anyway. 4EP disparity between power blocs is nothing a single turn of warfare can't overcome (through capture or destruction of commercial assets, tactics and strategy, or luck).

It amuses me that for all the supposition in SheepNES that nobody has visibly appeared the least bit rattled by my signature. ;)

I find it amusing that Symphony is parodying my sig when he has no idea what it's about. :)

That's exactly why I'm parodying it. :p Random cryptic statements are rather easy targets.

Sorry, I only row boats, and then only rarely. Most conspiracies are overblown and rarely effective anyway. And if Thlayli is your co-conspirator, well, I'm sorry but I don't feel terribly threatened. ;)

just out of curiosity, how does someone bring up a new thing to talk about without looking too random?

anyway, does anyone here have a government bias? like you either tend to pick a nation for its government or will take a nation and change its government into something you are used to?

I noticed i have a communist bias, every nes i've been in with sheep i pick a communist country

“Appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive!
He understands only one language—action—and he respects only one word—force!
No sign of them stopping, no time for back channel communiqués!
We need all the help we can get! Air strikes and invasions! Retaliate, I say!”

I can't wait to see America's power broken before the world when you invade Iran. Failure in Iraq and Afghanistan hasn't been enough for you? Want to fail in Iran too?

Well this will be nice to see. Mighty American humbled again. Hahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tend to have monarchies and parliamentary monarchies, but I really don't have much preference. I've played a wide range.

As you wish. :)

A free democracy with effecient internal propaganda and PR mechanisms; all the effeciency advantages of democracy and accountability, with the option to whip the population into a frenzy if you have to ;).

My own preference is Monarchies, mostly Constitutional ones.

I was mighty upset with France (Panda that is) setting up Absolute Monarchy in Finland back in one of das' NESs (forgot which one that was, and they even still used my ruler charecter) even though the Finland in that game did amazingly well.

I prefer communist and socialist dictatorships mainly for the raw control of the country, large mediocre armies and brute industrial strength.
