91.73% of BLM protesters @Valessa encounters are Russian trolls.
The White Lives Matter Rally was a false flag operation by the Russian Government, Nazi Flags and Swastikas were added digitally.
Actual WLM-supporters are for equality between the races and just don't want to be the victims of racist social media posts anymore.

I've poked around facebook and found several large troll groups pretending to be BLM.

If we shall suppose that American slavery is one of those offenses which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South this terrible war as the woe due to those by whom the offense came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether."

I am willing to accept that a.) there are troll groups that pretend to be BLM and b.) Russia is attempting to worsen race relations in the USA as a way to cause division between the citizens of the USA.

There are however also lots of genuine American BLM supporters saying the most outrageous and racist things.

There is a great tendeny for many on the Internet (and in media more generally) to find the stupidest followers of a given ideology and pretend that that's what most the followers really think. Do not fall for such farces.

The stupidest are usually the loudest.......and **** floats..

imagine your universe is someone's gut and you're just one of a billion bacterium

well, maybe bacteria dont do much imagining ;)

Once upon a time, I, Lexi-zi, dreamt I was a bacterium, floating hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a bacterium. I was conscious only of my happiness as a bacterium, unaware that I was Lexi. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a bacterium, or whether I am now a bacterium, dreaming I am a man.

Meanwhile @topic

According to news reporting I've read there were only a few hundred people at this event and they were outnumbered by counterdemonstrators. I didn't realize it was quite so pathetic.

I don't, I've spent whole evenings monitoring the twitter hashtag (literally). It's mostly fine while nothing of importance happens, with the obnoxious "If you're white, you don't get to have an opinion about XY!"-nonsense being about the limit of nonsense that you'll see, but wait until a black person is shot by a cop - doesn't matter if it's in self-defense, while committing a crime, or innocently, the reaction is the same - and half of what you see are racist statements against white people, calls for violence against cops and other BS.

He sucks as a writer, that is for sure. And it is a bit insane to argue that god himself was involved in the american civil war, let alone first willed slavery in the Us, then changed his mind.

Twitter is dominated by self-important loudmouth idiots and trolls. You're not going to get anything approaching reality there.

2/10, crap troll attempt. Wouldn't read again

There's your problem right there.

Why are all of these left wing activist groups so upset over this news? They've all been complaining about imaginary Nazis for years and they've finally got what they wanted after all of that hard work. WWII ended 70 years ago so this was quite an accomplishment. Now both sides can bash eachother's heads in with flag poles and bike locks 'till their hearts content. You'd think they'd be celebrating.

What "reality" are you talking about? If the people on social media are not part of BLM, then what even is BLM? Everybody in BLM, from organizer to random-person-who-self-identifies-with-BLM is on twitter. Without Twitter, BLM is a bunch of college kids organizing to block people from going where they want or need to go, and yell in their faces.

Horrible People's Lives Matter.

Cthulhu 2020!

This is so asinine it's kind of amazing that you typed it and then hit 'post reply'

Anyone who says good people's lives matter is probably an authoritarian.

I think we should in theory be able to agree that 'human lives matter', and by extension that these movements were badly named from the start... Police brutality is apparently far more common against black people in the US, so the movement could be named in a way so as to directly refer to that.
