Ok I just thought of something, ever since this new wave of "posters" came they have impacted the site dramaticaly, We have gotten two new forums because of them(directly). Also they have (indirectly) IMO spurred a rebelliuos attitude twoard moderaters. Please feel free to diagree.Comments??

As one of the "new posters", I respect the moderators position (it is a difficult job) on banning and closing threads. They are not doing things to have a 'power-trip', but to make this a comfortable place for all to visit.

There have been some really inapropriate threads, and the point of having a forum is to enjoy it. Not to make some people angry or feel lousy. There should be some limits.

Glad I dont have that job.

Not all new poster's are rebels or just plain anoying.But i agree that they (the "anoying" new posters) must be taken care off, i fear these people are chasing all the good people away from this site, and i would hate that.
On the other hand CFC forum's are realy very ristriced on what you post.Maybe some policies are a bit to though ,to strict ,although i couldn really say what that would be.For my sake the ristriction's here are fine as they are ,although maybe other's may think differently.

The forums could be seen like the tides of an ocean. There are going to be swells, high tide and low tide. It will get quiet again on the foums (spammers will be silent, partly b/c they get older, partly b/c Thunderfall bans them temp/perm, partly b/c they find new places to bother). I'd suggest that the CFCers that are tired of spammers just wait the time out and realize that this is the way it is and will always be.

But don't worry, I will be here to make fun of them (and myself!!! )

There should be that other option, namely one will stop posting if he is UNbanned Frankly, one could see it coming for the spammers and madmen. They need to respect the authoritaaaa of the big boss wizard.
They all got off easy, what with the possibility of the death penalty.
I for one do not appreciate an unsolicited begging PM from a little person whom I don't even know, never engaged in discussion really, and who is tiring in some respects, especially when it asks me to threaten strike on their behalf

Have patience, Graeme! 1 week is very mild punishment. I didn't feel like giving you spammers 2 weeks and 20% post reduction.

There have been too much spams in the forum lately. For the first time people openly ignored and ridiculed admin/moderators' warning about spams. This is not acceptable. I am prepared to ban more spammers if I have to (I hope I don't need to).

In the mean time, you can go out and get a life.

I can see why you get annoyed and Graeme but if you look he very rarely posts in the serious discusions so in reality its not really that bad when he spams...It been mentioned that there is a group of us that have been calling ourselves 'the spammers' and I have abit so I will not mention it again and I will try not to spam.
I don't think Graeme's comment would have been so bad if he had made it a constructive criticism instead of a down right 'I am right' level.

I got to thinking (and salivating) about the other forum humiliations that could be heaped upon forum miscreants, some sort of scarlet letter to attach to their ID fields on the left. (Then I really got flying into fantasy, but to conceal my depravity in the area of PUNISHMENT, I think I will keep these ideas to myself for a little while) But, I was wondering what the other rabid or twisted disciplinarians around here would like to see as a badge of dishonor/rebellious pride attached to the virtual image of our guide line violating brethren, particularly the tasteless ones.
