it would be nice to have the multiple leaders per civ again. except they'll have completely different abilities, units and buildings. well, maybe a few can have the same unit, ability or building. but to differ the advantages and strategy. Now we can have Lincoln, Stalin and etc... all over again.

So looks like there is another expansion on the way how nice :)

Interesting about that closed beta. It says PCbeta2 ... what does the 2 refer to? It might just mean there has been a first beta on this whatever-it-is, and that they discovered something that needed fixing. Might be the DLC that one would have expected to go with the last major patch but which didn't come, for all we know.

Hopefully, if there is a new expansion, the focus will be on trade, trade, and economics. And probably more trade.

Yep, what this game needs is more reasons to not just kill everybody. Research agreements are nice and all, but often the AI won't have enough gold for them. Foreign trade routes would be a good way to make peace worthwhile.
I'd also like more ways to consume resources and make something useful out of surplus luxuries you can't trade. Not necessarily BtS style corporations, but maybe advanced luxuries that can be manufactured in your empire and give additional bonuses. 2 units of Gold or Silver or Gems could be converted to one unit of Jewelry to increase happiness even more or to be traded to other civs, or you could convert Fur, Silk or Dyes to Finery. Basically use surplus luxuries to create new luxuries (or horses -> race horses if you need happiness more than Knights).
Another possibility would be more buildings and improvements that consume resources.
It's funny how iron is irrelevant during the industrial era. It would make sense to introduce, for example, a steam mill improvement that consumes iron and in returns gives +1 :c5production: to all adjacent mines.

More trade would be nice, but then they also need to fix diplomacy. Not much point in having an elaborated trade system if all the AI's denounce you just because you sneeze at the wrong moment.

If another expansion were to be released, it would be great to be able to have an arms trade, as it's one of the biggest industries worldwide. Starting from a certain tech, leaders could buy units from one another, or conclude arms contracts (similar to research contracts), where one civ would pay the other a large sum of money, and the other civ's production would be tied up for 30 turns in one/two cities. At the end of the contract, the paying civ would receive a quantity of units, and the producing civ would get a large sum of money (or it could be gradual).

Also agree that there's not enough emphasis on business. I liked the idea of corporations in Civ4. Something like that would be nice in Civ5

The problem with corporations in Civ IV was that they were a mess.

I actually think there will be another expansion, adding features completely new to Civ altogether

I hope you're right and I hope that they enhance MP. It's extremely disappointing that you can't play custom maps such as "earth" with your buddies. It was THE great joy of just about all of us in previous games. Now we get like 15 options for MP maps, 5 or so of which are simply absurd. Sorry, I don't want to play a map of all tundra and a few forests!

new dlc? wonder what this could be

I wouldn't mind more trading, better diplomacy, but one thing needed is more interesting espionage.

One World? Interesting name choice
Btw, when was Gods and Kings announced?

Mid February if i remember rightly.

The one world doesn't have an 'optional' next to it though. All existing dlc and expansions in that list had an 'optional' next to them. All patches were left blank.

One world could be another extensive patch. Or it could just not be listed as an optional pack yet, and i guess with the word expansion chucked before it this seems more likely. We'll see.

No, there are no patches in that list

I'm sure it will get the optional tag soon, the site was updated 2 hours ago
Also, it's name is: Expansion - One World ;)
