This is an exotic trade and culture producing wonder requested by Ozymandias, the :king: of :king::king::king: from :egypt:

Decided to make bit different graphics this time as I got temporarily bored with the usual statue theme. As silk road is not a concrete thing it should be made as a statue in Civ3, but it felt stupid to try to fit a big caravan with men, horses, dogs, camels and women passing slowly through a desert on a pedestal. :crazyeye:

Package contains pretty much everything you need.

EDIT:

You boys were right, it does look like a well armed caravan.

Here's just clearly sticks version:

"Gun" version looks like this:

Actually, I got this idea, you said in your first post you didn't like the statue style, maybe it could be like the Great Wall, winding in the distance?

I'm not even sure if it's possible, but it was just an idea...

Damn, Rufus!
You should do only one great splash/wonder - not TWO!!!

Shame, if the other was used for the silk road -wonder, what could the other represent? Spice road ;) ?

Rufus, your skills have improved a lot, and I really like the new splash.

However, the new one might as well be used for a "Hijra" wonder (the migration of the Prophet Muhammed from Mecca to Medina is a turning point in Islam, and therefore, might be considered as a wonder - for those of you who think about making a "Rise of Islam" mod ;) )

Perhaps the 1st one should be some Great Caravan of Sahara wondersplash, as they seem to be African camels with only one hump. Actually I don't know for sure if they used African camls in the silk road but I doubt it.

I also thought of this only after I made the icon - but the camels are so small and their hump(s) well covered with stuff so you can't really tell.

Oh Ukas, that second one Rufus did doesn't have two humps. It's basicly just a little hump on the back of the camel's neck. It's just a lump of fat, muscle and excess skin, unlike the signature humps camels have, which are only fat.

(well at least think about it that way  )
