Worker Flavour Units

Dirtier works. I picture peasants wearing hand-me-done beaten footwear. Not a big deal, but shiny boots would seem odd.

could it be possilbe to make a femal medeival worker. i always picture the peasent women working in the feild too.

It's possible, but not very realistic (in comparison to the number of men working).

No rush, but can you make African and Native (as in Aztec and Inca) workers too?

Also, since you were talking about flavored great people: is there a way to make the warlord look less "barbarric" after the middle_ages? Its sort of odd to have him leading a regiment of Redcoats.

I think I saw a native and an African worker in one of the BtS screenshots. I can remember that the native worker looked like a modified scout I think, and the African worker was hard to make out (if he even was a worker). So anyway I might wait and see. I don't want to spend time on something that could be obsolete by better stuff in a fortnight ;)

The model Sepamu pointed out is great for this, unfortunately there are only 3 different eras for unit graphics though: Early, Middle and Late. So you could have the industrial general instead of the medieval one, or instead of the modern one. It would be cool if BtS allowed more graphics-era changes but I find this unlikely.

Instead you could just use a workaround where your general upgrades for free into another unit (exactly the same except with the new graphics). That way you could choose what tech he replaces the barbarian general with (say Rifling or so).

Hope that makes sense.

Aw... I just missed the first download... Thanks again Chuggi!

Just one thing. In the OP, shouldn't the Arabian worker be in the Medieval section? (The Firaxis worker is more or less Arabian as it is).

Yeah I was going to change it when I added the Medieval section - but then I'd have to change it in the database as well.. what the hell I'll fix it now. Thanks!

Edit: Changed the first post, and in the database he's in the Renaissance section so he's with the Caucasian worker I just uploaded.

You could set up workers like settlers. Have 2 males, 1 female, and then a child worker in each group. That would look pretty cool I bet. Of course this simply represents the building of the improvement and not the working of the plot.
