Workers of the World!

Is his attire suitable for African and other dark-skinned countries? :) (just out of curiosity)

Great work. I'd love to see some variations of the Germanic Warrior, please... something like fighting with Shield, Spear and Seax...

[Gen Rommel] I really liked the image you linked to for the Germanic Worker, so I tried to make the closest I could. This goes to show that if you really want a unit to be made, providing good concept art will vastly increase your chances.

Then I am extremely happy that I took the time to find pics of possible units. Otherwise, they may have not turned out as awesome as you were able to make them. That also goes for the Roman and Vietnamese worker as well. ;)

Finally my German countrymen have a kickass worker to do their bidding. Time to unrelentingly pummel the Roman legionaries with Germanic berserker might!

A summary of things...this set owns!

@BadKharma, if I change under Governments, all the civs with that Government would have the same rate.

@Vuldacon, is that option only available in Conquest? Because I don't see it ( I got Gold edition). Here a screen cap:

That's nice, thanks! You missed out the American and Soviet workers, though - and the Nubian one is in the wrong place. Now perhaps I should think about filling in some of the gaps - or, since I posted the animations, other people could too...

So, now we miss only Incan, Hun/Mongolian, Hellenic (Greek), Slavic/Rus/Russian (ancient/medieval) and maybe Chinese Workers.

... and what about the Settlers & Scout Packs ? ;) :D

Yes although you can individually set the worker rate in the conquests editor unit tab it well eventually also be dependant on the worker rate set in governments. It is a 2 fold thing. Personally I always felt that a work rate makes more sense lincked to a particular government rather than an individual civ.

 Plotinus, can you make some workers of ancient east asian, for example Chinese, Mongol and Korean. The Japanese has been done by firaxis.

Especially Chinese, the dress which was seen in Qing dynasty including cheong-sam, was not their own in fact. It is the dress of Manchu.

This is the real traditional Chinese labourers' dress before the 17th century: The hair was bound and wrapped with a piece of cloth. Two half trousers, and the crus wearing white leggings. There are some pictures of a story book here.:)

only put the ancients/medieval ones in (thought the nubian would be nice for Mali, since the Egyptian one is already Nubian-Sudanese while actual Egyptians wouldn't be that dark... but then again the kings of Sudan long reigned over Egypt anyways... was too lazy to edit it back out again) :)

Ah, fair enough. Although I'm sure that an ancient Egyptian labourer would have been that dark, however pale or otherwise their rulers might have been. Indians who work outdoors go that dark (my Indian Worker is really too pale), so I reckon Egyptians would too.
