Worst Movies Ever

Roger Ebert on Freddy Got Fingered -

This movie doesn't scrape the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't below the bottom of the barrel. This movie doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with barrels.

A high profile newspapr film critic once wrote a review that went something like this:
Zzzz z zzzzz zzzz zzzzzzzzzz zzzz zz zzzz. Zzz zzz zzzzz zz zz zzzzzzz zzzz zzzzz zzzz z zzzz z zzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzz zzz zzzzzz zzz. Z zzzzzz zzzzzzz zzzzz zzz z zzzzzz zzzz zzzzzzzzzzz zzzz zzz zzz zz.

Zzzzz zzz zzzz z zzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzz zzzzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zz zz zzz zzzzz. Zzzzz zzz zzz.....
...and you get the idea.

I don't remeber what film it was or who wrote it, but I guess that the critic had to be pretty persuasive about how gutwrenching awful or boring that film was with the newspaper editor for a review like that to be approved and printed for thousands of readers to read.

The Polish version of Quo Vadis that came out in 2001. The movie was a catastrophy, litteraly, despite having a top notch cast, a great director, a good story and lots of money (I believe it is the most expensive Polish movie to date).

What happened was that they used most of the money building a lifesize replica of a Roman city at the mediterenian, that was completely destroyed by a storm before they managed to film a scene.

After that the actors and the director tried to make a movie out of it, but didn't manage to put their hearts in it as if they had lost their faith in the whole endevuar.

They used crafty litle tricks like filming a large gathering of people on a square and not showing the buildings around it and the people at the podium giving a speach had a real roman aqueduct as a backdrop, still to no avail.

I thought Idiocracy had its moments. Rotton Tomatoes gave it a 73%. It was no certainly no Dogma, which they only gave a 67%...

I watched Aeon Flux. It was pretty bad.

I also watched the Happening. The novelty of people cleaning themselves wears thin after a while. The ending was the most brutal thing to watch.

Anything by Rob Schneider.

How come Batman and Robin and Steel aren't on the list?

Take out Polish and you would've had Troy.
