Nevada can pretty much hang their hats on legalized gambling.
New Jersey can do the same with pharmaceuticals.

Oh really?

It's going to be tough on the young adults who aren't on a parent's plan.
Have to buy it. Have to pay triple for it. Or go without and pay $700 starting in 3 years. (Probably less, the article exaggerates here a little I think)
Hopefully they can make it to $11,500 each year to qualify for the subsidy.
And can swing that 1st year before the subsidy can start help paying for next year's premiums.
Always a pleasure debating with you.
Some real sharp people on this forum for sure.

Yeah. Compromised.Compromised?
You do realize that their alternative is to never see a doctor at all, right?
Yeah. Compromised.
The GOP wasn't consulted in any meaningful way in the process at all. The fact the process took as long as it did was due to overcoming opposition from the now largely extinct Blue Dog Democratic caucus. The fact that Republicans were given as much opportunity to participate as they were was a travesty. They certainly did not deserve it, based on their actions.

Now that the price for them is doubling or tripling, I guess we'll find out if doctors still take cash.
Is there an option for catastrophic-only coverage below the Bronze Plan that means you won't have to pay the penalty?
Your own biases are coloring your perception of reality here Cutlass. The Republicans refuses to be consulted in any meaningful way. 100% of the choice here was made by Republicans only.

Not really. The whole Republican party refused to even open talks with Obama the the Dems. There couldn't be a compromise if one party refused to even show up.
Actually, if Boehner puts what the Dems want on the floor of the House it will pass both chambers. You mean like how the dems won't entertain continuing resolutions?

I'm more interested in why there hasn't been a budget in 5 years. These ridiculous CR's are getting really tiresome.Actually, if Boehner puts what the Dems want on the floor of the House it will pass both chambers.

I'm still not seeing any evidence to back your position. Smilies while cute don't exactly contribute much of value to an argument.Look who's talking?

If everyone knows it then it should be easy for you to provide some sort of evidence to that end. If that request offends your delicate sensibilities, perhaps should take a long hard look in the mirror before accusing someone of being more interested in spouting partisan lies rather than discussing the subject at hand.Try looking at the real world. Everyone knows that the Republicans refused to be a part of the process.

It seems odd to claim that there could be no compromise between the parties when there had been a health care bill kicking around Congress for 2 years already with co-sponsors in both parties. It was jettisoned in favor of the ACA.
